Or hear me out, they mean nothing and you should just sink them all.

  • All flags burn black. Imma sending you to the depths no matter what you fly.

  • The problem with trying to infer any meaning from flag choice is.... pirates. Pirates lie.

Just like the red flare means stay away and the white flare means you're friendly right? Right? LOL.

  • Point your cannons up kids. What flag do you fly? Do not cite the old magicks to me.

Flags and posturing means nothing at this point. Fly what you want do what you want. The official use flags have been misused so much lol.

    Edit.:

There have NEVER been official use flags.

  • I've found a lot of success with white flares on both sides of the situation. Mixed together with people giving some space when using them and I'd say it's the highest success rate of useful info about another crew and the most effective tool for encounters.

Flags typically don't mean much but organically I'd say the good boy is probably the highest chance of getting a read on a crew, not necessarily skill as that has always and will always be all over the place but more the type of gameplay.

If I saw a good boy with a merchant emissary delivering pigs and cargo and then 20 minutes later doing a circle of death on a larger crew I'd be like "yeah, that checks out".
