Captain skeletons don't drop them on islands and in regular skelly forts we've only gotten humble gifts. Have only seen one generous gift so far in season 11, and it was among the loot of someone we sunk. Where do you find generous gifts now?

The fort of fortune has a chance of spawning them everyone seems to forget that seeing as it's a dead world event these days I did 3 uncontested with veil quests in between last night
@burnbacon Have done many skeleton forts, only humble gifts. Dug up many x marks the spot maps, only storage crates and reaper chests

Actually yeah I found a generous gift at shark fin camp in a fof vault and gave it to another player to sell 2 days ago I've also dug them up from captains orders on forts they are rarer than humble gifts so increasing your crew size will increase the chances as the number if skellys increases with crew size I've also had gifts in orders from random captains found on islands they also have a chance of spawning in the vaults of normal skeleton forts rare items are rare for a reason
@subject-18-jord Yeah if you could find one, still don't know where to find generous gifts. None in skelly forts, none in FoF's.....
@subject-18-jord just keep them on board until you find a friendly player and pass it to them by hand to sell that's the hardest commendations to get done just selling them is easy

That's my point! They're considered rare items so have a lower drop rate similar to the spawn rates of other rare items
Can anyone confirm how to get both the generous gifts or humble gifts because I do the dive forts don't see them ever or are they in only the non dive skully forts only in season 11 because I can't find them anymore have they been replaced with something else or are they completely removed out the game because of the new loot items I like to no and picture with proof would help thanks
@walkings0ul Gifts do not appear in raid forts (skull forts you dive to). They only appear in regular skull forts. There will always be one humble gift in a regular skull forts, and sometimes there's a generous gift but they are rare now. It's the only place you find them now
if this game was designed like a proper games as a service game you would just wait till the appropriate holiday and the voyages to get them would become available again. but for some reason these developers believe more in throwing away their past work than having reccuring in game holidays that just switch on and off without the need for them to do any extra work. this would have given the game more content and players more to do over time as new events were added to the calandar and just made an overall more enjoyable experience. instead its just nerf after nerf. 2 week fomo events that takes months of development time just to be tossed away after. really weird design concepts going on here
I agree, getting gifts since season 11 is an absolute mess. Before, captains on islands were giving a lot of them but it's no longer the case. Completing "not on demand" vault is not a satisfying solution to me considering the number of gift to sell/offer. In the current state of the game, the related commendations are just impossible to achieve.
@archon2024 I think it is safe to say that Sea of Thieves is a game like no other, the entire game is basically an experiment and they are still experimenting with stuff so we should not fault them for trying new things.
They have said publicly that the Limited Adventures didn't work, so chastising them about it is either silly, or just shows that you aren't actively paying attention to what they developers are saying.
In regards to gifts, yes they are harder to get now, but they are still attainable by doing skull forts or Fort of Fortune. And both Neat and Chapman commented on Captain Falcore's Twitter (X) post about a petition to bring back Black Powder voyages, which had Gifts as random digs, so they are working on it.
@reverend-toast Skull Forts that nobody had a dive to are extremely rare nowadays, most are just taken by dives (i haven't even seen a non-dive one this season). And i have done a couple of FoF's, but they never had gifts.
