When Will An Update on Season Eight and Matchmaking Times Come.

    RARE announced Season Eight will be updated and its new PVP game mode and Matchmaking times will be fixed.... but is it 2 late? Today I encounter no matches on a Brig until my friends made a match with a VPN... Only then we could find a match.... After finding a match we encountered several hackers who could randomly just drop KEGS on our ships as they please whenever they want... When will Hackers be dealt with???? When Will PVP matches not take 30Min+ without VPN when will rare fix hackers exploits when they get worse by the day... I've played almost everyday since season 4 ( almost 2500hours ) and I have never seen the seas this bad.

    P.S. Why can Brig crews be matched 1VS3... but sloops cant fight or be matched 1VS2 if there teammate isnt there? Math doesn't add up IMO.

    @meatball3448868 sloops get a 1v1 for soloers. Sloops also get a 2v2.

    The others are Brig v Brig or Galley v Galley.

    As for when a fix is coming. Rare usually takes a decent holiday around Christmas and New Years. Next week we should be getting an adventure update, which will likely feature any updates for January.

    @captain-coel I dont understand what you mean.. brig vs brig.. or galley vs galley... When a BRIG can Solo 1Vs3 but a SLOOP cant 2VS1? Should we even be getting a adventure updates when so many problems persist??? Yet we arnt even talking about the exploiters of the game yet. lets talk about this more 1st before we talk about Adventure updates... I think this is the bigger issue IMO.

    Rare schedules their updates in most cases. Chances are, they have a lot of the fixes we're hoping for to be ready/almost ready as of now, but it's not time to release it yet. It will come with the January monthly update, which I assume will also introduce the next Adventure, and Emporium refresh, otherwise, we could expect this update to matchmaking at least any other Thursday after that update.

    It's going to be a bit of waiting, but as I continuously say: December to January is the absolute worst time to play SoT as issues fester for about a month and the devs aren't working on the game for half of that month.

    But as @captain-coel said, European countries tend to take "holidays" and not just Christmas/New Years off. Holidays can be a month off frequently. I wouldn't anticipate anything before February, March would be reasonable.

    Really, I think we all have high hopes for the next update and I wouldn't blame them for reading the forum and implementing some other popular feedback.

    @nex-stargaze I respect that. Everyone deservers time off/ with family and holidays. I love this new PVP mode dont get me wrong. one of the best things ever to come too SOT since Arena, but is to much too fast a bad thing...??? At what point do people say... They dont care.. They are holiday? Especially after things are this bad already?

    I'm not sure what you don't understand. Brigs fight other Brigs. Galleons fight other Galleons. Duo Sloops fight other Duo sloops. And lastly Solo Sloops fight other solo sloops.

    The only exception is if you are a champion, you can opt to fight bigger boats.

    I want the adventure update. It will hopefully be a small dose of story and something to laugh at before I resume my grind for gold curses.

    I can sense what I believe is your sarcasm. Get a grip. If you are solo on a brig you are asking for trouble.
