    Because using it requires literally zero thought and its hitbox makes no sense. It's not even actually broken (objectively it is worse than the guns), the design of the weapon is just insanely frustrating and it really doesn't have to be this way. Also it's unreliable and its efficacy seems latency based.

    It needs a rework, not a nerf because not only is it annoying to fight against and a low skill weapon but it's also insanely unfun to actually use it and there's zero mechanical depth- they made sure to remove all of that years ago when the sword got its original set of "nerfs" that somehow made the weapon both worse and more frustrating to fight against at the same time. Another nerf would just make it actually useless, which isn't good either.

    I just want a fun sword that doesn't make me want to tear my eyes out when some guy hits me with it from 2 meters away and cancels my reload.

    To me the sword is as fun as it gets, and even though its easy to use for newer players, using it very well takes a bit of practice and time with it.

    That last part about it hitting you when your 2 meters away isnt a sword exclusive issue, backtracking is horrible with hitreg in its current state, some one will shoot a blunder well after you have gone around a corner and left their sight line, and you will die to it.

    It's a way bigger issue with the sword though since the hitbox is bigger than the hitbox of bullets by an order of magnitude.

    Blunder has an insanely wide flack range, but i dont think we actually can measure what its a bigger issue on without some very in depth testing, but as far as i have seen, backtracking happens consistently with every weapon. Even still, you cant really say that something needs nerfed because of a bug that affects everything.

  • I think it is funny that two sword users don't even duel. One just needs to jump above and spam left click or do the jump through someone then rotate around.

  • Im all for making the sword not register hits as much as every other gun does.

  • I think the bigger problem is the blunderbuss
