2 Xbox ones same Microsoft account with a Disc copy of the game

  • I may get a new Xbox one (for reasons that I will not specify) and I’ve been doing research on how to transfer my games from one Xbox to another at a different house. While maintaining the functionality of the original one and data of the original.
On to the point I own a Disc copy of SoT and I’m curious if when I insert the disc in the new Xbox (that is on the same account as the original one) will I maintain my account with my rep, gold, ship cosmetics, pets, clothing, etc. on the new Xbox after signing into SoT and will anything happen to my original Xbox?
Because I looked it up and nothing is anywhere near helpful so I hope you fellow pirates can help me?

  • @doorlessroom617 If you have a disc copy of the game you can use it in your new xbox console while using the same account (your SOT achievements, skins etc are tied to your online account)

Keep in mind though that you can't play the disc based game on both consoles at the same time.

  • @doorlessroom617 as Metal Ravage mentioned, all Pirate progression, Gold, Cosmetics etc are bound to the account used. So if you sign in to the new Xbox with the same Gamertag/Microsoft Account, then you can carry on from where you left off with no issue.

You may need to sign out of the Old Xbox but it should do that automatically.

As also mentioned, you won't be able to play Sea of Thieves on both Xbox's at once.

Yeah I know that’s actually the reason why I asked this because whenever I looked it up it was mostly about playing the same game at the same time
Which I don’t want both Xboxes are for me and won’t be on at the same time
