Glorious Sea Dog Chest

  • With Arena announcing closure, I'm sure many Pirates have questions about certain things associated with the game mode.

I was wondering if you Rare could introduce that Glorious Sea Dog Chest in Adventure?!

It's such a beautiful piece of treasure, all purple & shiny that it would be such a shame to never see it again...

IMO the GSD chest should be added to the Reapers Faction, when reaching grade 5.

There is not much outside of just being able to see other ships on the map when reaching grade 5.

Usually, while running Reapers if me and my crew are not sailing looking for ships and actively reaping, we voyage, stack loot and just wait to sell and lower the flag after a long sailing session.

We don't wish or have a desire to lower and raise, lower and raise the Reaper flags again. There is no incentive if there are not active emissaries on tables.

Maybe the Servant of the Flame could offer its own emissary reward and when taken by your crew becoming activated for all other players to see the spiral in the sky like in Arena.

Just my thoughts and hopes for the future. Also nominating myself for #BeMorePirate to hopefully one day win that beautiful hat. Maybe this idea will help ;) haha

Anyways, I Hope you Pirates enjoy your weekend and Community Day! CHEERS!

  • @mistuhmarz i see your thought but i dont personally see the point in bringing into adventure. Whats the purpose.

  • is it not just a chest of legends but purple?! i mean i wouldnt mind it being added somehow

  • I'd welcome such a change, but I'm afraid Rare isn't gonna be too keen on fixing the beacon/beam bug related to that chest.

  • I'd rather see it as an easter egg, similar to the box of wondrous secrets, and not tied to any commendations or other factions.

It could spawn on any island, and you could turn it in to DeMarco or Lesedi at the Sea Dog Tavern for 10k gold. This would unlock some additional dialogue unique to each of them, in which they would reminisce about the glorious days.
