Apologies of this idea is flawed.

Seeing as the Sea Dogs Tavern is in the game, make the tavern accessible from the Adventure world.
Inside the tavern is a "voyage" you can vote on, which when voted on, server merges you into a server with other people who also voted on it, thus making it like a "Sea Dogs Server"

This way, you know that the server you have merged into, is strictly people looking to do, or willing to engage in PvP. Could it be then, that within this server, getting kills or sinking ships contributes to the Sea Dog commendations for people to unlock the cosmetics (i.e. 100 Sniper Kills on people in Sea Dog Servers unlocks the Sea Dog Sniper)

This also allows people who are looking for PvP, to find willing combatants easier, as opposed to run away reapers and such, because you know the people in this server are looking to do Sea Dogs shenanigans.

The server would be a server like any other Adventure server, so the story updates can still exist,, voages cam be done, world events etc, it's just any kills in this server contribute to the Sea Dogs commendations/achievements (which would need to be tweaked from wins to kills)

As an incentive for people to collect loot, maybe make the loot worth a bit more.

Just an idea I had to merge Arena into Adventure servers, whilst keeping the achievements/commendations, making PvP more accessible, and keeping existing assets (Sea Dogs Tavern)

You must not remember the lengthy period of time where you could literally buy multiple levels...

It is ridiculously easy to level up in arena. They increased the amount of silver you got per match multiple times. Two years and people couldn't get to level 5? Or even level 50? Come on now.

Reward people who have supported the mode.
This is a gamemode that a lot of your dedicated player base have poured their heart and soul into because they, whether they admit it or not, love the game.

P.S: Now would be a great time to add in the many-time-suggested Silver Curse! Players that have attained Triumphant Sea Dog before March 10th :)

It's been a lot of fun on arena . Even started playing it recently. I have a few levels left to get and I'll be playing it to get those levels not cheesing it. Thanks for the amazing game mode. long live arena.

at least let us grind the good boy cosmetics until arena closes

I'm one of those players that mildly enjoyed v1 with multiple chests and was casually leveling up in that year. V2 launched and I didn't like the tactical changes and decision removal it brought so I mostly dropped arena. I am level 45 so no Good Boy for me.

And I get why. I'd love a change of heart, but I'm not bitter about the lack of warning. Rewarding people who were dedicated Rena players without the promise of an extra reward means this makes sense, even if I'm on the outside looking in.

Do I hope to complete the achievements and grind.... Even cheese.... As many commendations as I can? Yep. But do I begrudge rare for killing arena or holding back the good boy set for those who were more dedicated to arena than me? I don't begrudge them one bit.

I have an idea as for how you could keep some of the sea dogs commendations and maybe even the company in adventure. For the weapon commendations just make it so every time you kill someone in adventure with (say a sword) you get progress in the arena sword commendation. You would also get reputation for sinking ships for the sea dogs and rep for killing people. It would give new players incentive to pvp as well as keeping those sweet pirate legend weapons.

@musicmee One more request from me to you... Get us that Megalodon head trophy mounted on the outside of the building!!!! HAHAHAHAAAAA PLEAASE!

can we have the doors open to the arena outpost after it goes away? would be cool to be able to step in there again once this is all over. that or have the island used for something else.

I do get that but many of us did. How is it fair that people who are level 40-45+ get the same cosmetics as level 5 pirates. I hope you just overthink the deadline to get to level 50 for the "The Good Boy" ship set. At least give us a week or just the weekend. That would be fair to everyone who has been playing arena in the last months.

April-September 2019 is not "a lengthy period of time" especially considering before April, one of the few ways of earning doubloons was one event per month with lastest 1-2 weeks to earn ~200 total, most of which were all spent on the event's cosmetics.

Some played it on and off as friends wanted to join in with like myself. Getting to 49 and 2/3 then hearing both Arena is retiring and people will get retroactive rewards from before the announcement is literally a first for the game. "Letting others grind for it after the announcement before the deadline" is an invalid argument, unless they are saying the 1st anniversary legend cosmetics aren't special, overachiever sails aren't special, etc.

I know it used to be like that, but that was changed a long time ago. So, basically the argument that you can just buy levels doesn't really hold water in this instance. I play arena a lot and I was very close to hitting level 50. It's just frustrating to get hit with an announcement like this. Hey, arena is closing and by the way, today is the cutoff for being level 50. It would have made the pill easier to swallow if the cutoff would have been March 10th. For all the arguments that say, well, we didn't want to reward people for grinding out arena in the last month. That's kind of ridiculous. It's not an easy grind that can be done in any short period of time, especially with the long server load times. Additionally, for those of you who just purchased your levels to get to level 50, you all don't deserve the set either. It's not like you actually earned it, you just took advantage of buying your rep.

@hocka-lover how much time do you need? how many years has arena been out? you have 6 weeks.

I would like you to reconsider the decision to earn the Good boy cosmetics, since this was sort of thrown upon us, with no real warning about the shut down of Arena, those still working towards getting Rank 50 should be able to earn the Good boy cosmetics If they reach level 50 by the deadline of March 10th! Please let us continue to work towards getting the Sea dog titles, commendations and ALL cosmetics due to be released.
