I'm really not a fan of entirely unannounced requirements that have already passed for new cosmetics. The good boy ship was something I saw in the painting in the arena and dreamed of once earning, I didn't realise I was about to miss out on it just because I wasn't yet rank 50. I am rank 45 now.
I liked the arena, I just wasn't rushing to get it to 50.
Dude you could literally buy Sea dog levels... so all these people complaining about time, yalls arguments aren't valid.
To be honest since arena didn't have updates for a while I would say that mostly anybody had understood that arena didn't want to be worked on which is fair because this is a business and you need to make the majority of your users happy so the decision is very understandable u should focus on the stuff that most people wanna see more of but what I do not understand is that why would u need to remove a part of the game that people enjoy playing on their own which is optional to play nobody needs to play it and there where no updates releasing into arena so there is no development going on what so ever and people are still fine with that there are no fixes coming to it like the chest light beam bug has been reported and the development team was made aware of the bug yet there where no fixes to it even to this day so it just occurred to me that u are giving no focus to arena mode anyways and you are acting like that u where and now that u can do that no longer and have decided to shut it down because of no attention being able to be given to it I mean you must see how that contradicts each other I mean all u had to do was run a few servers I say few because of the fact that the argument was based on the player base being too little and most peoples posts I see down bellow its all about cosmetics and a forewarning but for me it is not really about that I genuinely enjoy arena and I know u may be used to seeing more of the ugly and not so sportsmanship like side of it but please do not forget that there is a very sportsman like community as well people that try and work hard to improve and people that have a good time we are not that big but I think we deserve a valid reason

@justsaiyen93 everyone’s opinions are valid. If there wasn’t a cap on buying a single level every month I would agree with you. But realistically very few people bought every single level.

I'm over 30 but below 50 ;)
I don’t particularly care for arena. I don’t care if it goes or stays. But the fact that they aren’t letting people grind up to 50 and get the Good Boy cosmetics in the last month is stupid. I’m level 46 and played it in bursts on and off. If they’d have let people know this was happening I’d have played. All this is doing is alienating players a lot more than it would have otherwise. I’m a player who didn’t care if arena went away, but the way this is being handled makes me care quite a bit.
@musicmee Do you know if unfinished Sea Dog commendations will still appear in our commendation window in game? My goal is to 100% my commendations, and that would be real annoying if I couldn't get that sweet 100% screenshot because of impossible-to-finish Sea Dogs commendations.
If you don't know, would be appreciated to pass that on as well. :)

Some people want them... some do not... It is going to be a tricky one to get right.

There wasn't always a 1 per month restriction, you could literally buy as many as you wanted.
This is my point though, they chose to use level to indicate dedication, but the players that actually enjoyed playing arena had no reason to buy their levels.
They could have used number of matches, wins, etc.
Ok in the past I've offered to spend 24 hours gathering as many powder kegs is I can to put all over Sea Dogs Arena to blow that place clean off the map! It would be Glorious!!! This offer still stands let me help you remove this wasted space to make room for you to put something better into this awesome game!!!

I've never enjoyed PvP in Sea of Thieves, but even I'm a bit sad it's going. I always hoped it would attract people looking for action so I could just fight skeletons in peace.
It would have been completely different if used as an opportunity for players to host their own games on the seas. It'd be cute if players could choose sea or player properties and host a server.
