Adventure logs

  • Add it so when you set sail at the beginning of a session, it creates an 'adventure log' and much like the maps, it appears on the voyage table. As you play in that session the log expands with information about your own adventure and findings. Example: If you sink a ship, the log will have a page saying "Cast another ship to the bottom of the ocean today! Gained x chests, x skulls and x merchant cargo. Or if you find chests on an island it could have something saying "Landed on plunder valley at noon, me and me crew managed to find x chests and barely made it out alive!" (Obviously these are being made up on the spot, if this got added they could be phrased better and have some variety. Anyway, if you sink, your adventure log would float to the surface and another crew could read about your adventures. This would not only be fun to read as you sail along but could also have some practical value. Just another thing that would make this game more immersive.

  • No - this takes away from learning about other crews through traditional means (a.k.a. spying), and socializing with them as well (why bother asking what other crews have been up to if you just have to look at a log?).

  • If my memory is correct, either someone already had the idea, either Rare already thought of that
