  • I would love to see a barnacled/coral version of the Gold Hoarder jacket makes it way to the game!

I finally found a picture to post of Barbossa's Outfit!

Now that I see it up close; he actually has a nice beard option as well!

  • Need some more baroque looking clothing.

  • @voshell finally! A good picture of the updated Gold Hoarder model! It looks fantastic!

And I just want Barbossa’s hat.

This is from a reddit thread 2 years ago, don't know if this databank has been kept up to date though.
Some of the newly released stuff like Silent Barnacle has been there all the time apparently while some other sick looking items (look at the boots especially) are still yet to come.

The Twilight Hunter equipment recently released had a preliminary showing (Hurdy-Gurdy, Bucket & Lantern) in this SoT Mega Dump attachment. It shows what the would be weapons as well (except the EoR). I hope we see more cosmetics released from this very soon! There is a lot of Standalone Cosmetic potential that is for sure!

  • @voshell there’s also a third barnacle set color variant in there that looks sweet. Hopefully we get the figurehead for the silent set soon and then that third color sometime after without leaving out parts again.

  • @illbushido305 is the 3rd one green?

  • @ninja-naranja yes it is. It’s in the “legund” folder in that google docs document from 2018.

  • It also has parts of the 3rd Bone Crusher Set, six or seven unused Beard styles, & like 10 unused Hair styles. Its ridiculous!

  • Can someone link back to the document so I can give it another look. I don't want to have to sort through 14 pages looking for it. 😅

Still, think about it - if they had all of that essentially done in 2018, how much more (besides A Pirate's Life obviously) could they have gotten done since then?

    Happy thoughts.

@galactic-geek here ya go, warning though, seeing the amount of unreleased stuff might make you sad like me qq.

confusing that they sometimes only add one recolor in an update when there's so much they can add

  • @neon-ic0n Thanks, and don't worry! I've already seen it back when it was originally posted. This is just a refresher. 🙂

    A few minutes later:
    WOA. 😳

  • I’ve noticed that way at the bottom the google docs file, there’s icons of the cutlasses that were originally removed for not being distinct enough. The difference is that the ones in this file are the upgraded versions that I imagine were supposed to replace those old ones as they display the icon of their set on the blade. That’s a bit disappointing to see if I’m being honest as the solution to the complaint remained as just removing them.

I agree. I am blown away as to why these models weren't used to differentiate them to begin with. They would have never needed to be removed. They should add them back into the game with the unused models.

  • @voshell I appreciate all that the team has done with cosmetics this year, but I really hope they’re able to keep that up going into 2022. Because it seems at the moment that they’re slowing down with the outpost drops and that’s bumming me out a bit.

  • I have noticed that as well but the last two seasons have added a bit more content than the first two...I am thinking that may have played a role in it. *fingers crossed

I’m not sure if they know that the bone crusher sets weren’t the only incomplete ones.

  • @illbushido305 It kinda feels like it sometimes.

You’d think with a game that’s main progression consists on cosmetics, the devs would have a higher priority in how many get put out every update. Even if the Dev who commented on this thread cares, it feels like the majority doesn’t have outpost cosmetics on the priority list.

Ever since the seasons have started they have upped the cosmetics which has been awesome. I definitely wouldn't mind having more that is for sure! The Dev said they don't want to introduce too much too fast; but hopefully they don't introduce them too slow either.

    My thoughts exactly.

Haha, no such thing as adding too many comsetics too fast if you ask me!

Every time they only add one recolor instead of two, I just wonder why? like literally what's the reasoning behind it? I mean, as far as adding content goes, cosmetics have to be on the easier side to implement, right? (not to mention there are oodles of already made, ready to be added cosmetics in the files).
Plus, these 'one recolor only' updates always exclude ship/equipment cosmetics! boooo.

At least it's not like last year, where between jan 15 2020 and jan 28 2021, the outpost shops received literally zero new items... cosmetics (and thus, progression) definitely feel like an afterthought, unfortunate.

Also, with the addition of a new skin type for the EoR; I hope we get that double wide flintlock skin soon! (shown on left)

They should add a scope-less EoR skin or create an option for a scope-less EoR addition to the current weapon choices. This way they don't even have to create a new weapon option but it would create an illusion of an additional weapon variety. Honestly they could even call them muskets and I wouldn't be offended or feel cheated in any way

I personally would love this. I love the Eye of Reach except for the Eye part as I am all about the Reach. I honestly wouldn't even mind if they reskinned each scope-less version with current EoR skins and made me repurchase them. I would be all for it. It would even give me a reason to put the Flintlock down.

  • There is actually one other variation of the Bilge Rat Cutlass that isn't shown above. Link below.

  • @voshell I’m honestly a big fan of the upgraded sea dog swords. They look more distinguishable. All these do to be fair so hopefully they see the light of day sometime.

I agree. It should be as easy to add them as they were taken away!
