Seriously, what is with all the sharks?

You weren't by any chance doing a particular shrine with an apt name?

sharks spawn a certain number for each crew member, so if you swim with a crew it will equal more sharks, also the long swim means theres plenty of time for multiple sharky's to spawn

I believe it was ancient tears? It was the underwater Siren event somewhere over by Thieves Haven which ended with fighting several waves of sirens.

I'll get better at capturing specifics the next time I come across these things. I apologize for not recalling the location name.

@doomscorp - is there a cap? It was a crew of 3 and we had 6 sharks waiting for us in a small enclosed spot.

well theres your answer, for every player friendly or enemy there will a multiplayer of sharks for every other pirate

@doomscorp - that ISN'T an answer. I've played with multiple people for the last 10 months and never had 6 sharks on me or my crew before. Other players that I've talked to, as well as regular streamers, have also mentioned that they've noticed an increase to the shark activity. If you have the details on the code itself and can tell me the conditions and if there is a limit, that would help increase understanding.

I was at the Tribute Shrine and has a habit, I look up to see if anyone is near my ship or if its still there..I saw something in the water, 4 to be correct. Waaaay up there but moving down....Sharks...it was funny.

It is the ocean and the Sea wants blood. Does it happen often? No. When I want a Blue light...No sharks..

Hungering Shrine had 6 sharks on 2 of us in one room lol
