Gem tooth megs

  • Just a simple to implement way to add more rare Megladon varieties. Currently most crews will ignore megs after checking for Ghost "is it THE meg?" since they already have all the commendations.

Make a chance for meg variants to have blue/green/red gem teeth. Pretty easy to implement teeth colours.

When killed these megs just drop a heap of their gems, this is good for all factions especially Hunters Call which should be the primary meg hunting faction.
Plus new commendations. Red being quite rare so they are sought after and people want to see the meg chomp to know it's a commendation they need. The odds of a Redtooth Ghost would be super rare.

Can unlock gem tooth sharkjaw figgureheads.

  • They already drop loot so I don't really see the point to make them have shining gems for teeth.

From what I understand these are just the gems that are already in the game.

  • Mostly just so there are new varieties to make them something experienced crews don't just ignore.

Shrouded Ghost is very popular, so more rare varieties make them more interesting.

  • People aren't gonna consistently kill them unless they do what they did before they decided they no longer wanted to do it

Fast kills with a weapon that first has to be found and offers an alternative to being a fireworks show

Megs already can have nice rng from time to time. It's the time and resources that people aren't interested in.

It takes brigs and galleons longer to kill and it not only takes resources but it alerts a good chunk of the server that they are around and what they are doing from the cannon fire.

Tridents were an incentive and more of a stealth kill

After the recent change I think megs will probably remain in the ignored category for quite some time because they already had a better formula for healthy server activity and it was changed.

The tridents also made them fun which made them more appealing. Waves in this game have also become ridiculous and often times are a pain for megs with cannons.

They did to their megs/tridents what Ferrara did to their butterfingers

  • This is an awesome idea actually. I like it

We still kill them because they give good emissary grade but you're right, being able to use the tridents on them was actually great. I hope they didn't nerf it too much.
