The ability to kick dead beat randoms from your crew who don't help but will happily cash in on your efforts give us the option to lock in brig or walk the plank to make room for new crew but keep them in the server for some fun pay back.
Dead beat random curs in the crew
@moffat83
This could be abused by players who would kick out a player after hours who has been doing things but they just want a friend of theirs to enjoy the spoils instead.If I ended up with someone who doesn't actually play but just has his character spinning or something, I'd start a new ship.

Matey I if they are truly toxic you can put them in the brig and always have been able to.
With regards to being able to kick players - well that be a mighty powerful tool to put in a pirate's hands!this suggestion really comes down to open crew brig and which cheesing is most unjust
it's less unjust for people to afk/lazy cheese than for 2 people to kick out someone that has contributed to have a friend join for the cheese
It's not a perfect system but it's the least destructive system
Open crew is a compatibility risk. If a person chooses to take that personality gamble they have to be prepared to move on from an incompatible situation and start a new session somewhere else.

@lem0n-curry kinda sucks when your almost half way through the quest
I did not say there weren't any cons to this; you just gonna have to decide to start anew or continue with a person not doing anything.
Or would you want to be that person that gets kicked out of a crew after you have done a quest and the others want their friend to profit instead ?
