If you sink with an emissary flag up, do you lose the emissary value?

  • Just a general question, as I am not sure where to post this, but a friend of mine said that if you have an emissary flag up, and you sink, you lose all of your emissary value, but I'm almost positive I was sunk once with the flag still up and didn't lose the emissary value.

    So what happens?

  • your emissary total remains that's locked in for the ledger. It resets every month but you don't lose any once items are sold

once you lose the flag you no longer receive the bonus based on whatever grade you were till you put on a new flag and level it

the short term exception to this is that it takes a little while for a ship to fully sink so even if a ship has sunk you still have between the sink noise and when the game registers it as a sink when the notification pops up that you lost the flag.
So if you were at an outpost and got sunk and were actively selling you would still get the bonus until that banner popped up saying you lost your emissary flag

  • @wolfmanbush alright, thanks for that clarification. I was pretty sure that was the case, since there was nothing on the wiki saying you lost your emissary value if you sank, only the grade and flag itself.

Will drop anchor now that @wolfmanbush has answered your question :)
