I would love to customize the little area which feels more personal on your ship..
To make it truly personal for you. Imagine putting an octopus in a jar on your desk as a reward from the hunter fraction or a stuffed Dodo, a crown, a set of deadly weapons or glowing potions for the other factions on that place..
Just to make the place feel more home to you and your crew instead of just any crew.
This also could be greatly paired with another update that's been promised since the beginning :p
@clownsparade I understand your sentiment but it’s just not viable for the very reasons @galactic-geek mentioned.
I would like a mirror though, so us pirates can get a better look at the clothing and accessories we’re wearing without the clutter around it :D Would be nice to be able to take a selfie with some preset emotes to give us that ‘portrait’ look.
@clownsparade captain cabin customization can'be realized... but how about a hub location where only you can be? Like Athena's Fortune hideout but with your objects, decorations, furniture and others. Here you can make your own pirate base with decoration that you can get with achievments. Imagine the shrouded ghost head on the wall. Also the collection of ships in the bottles. It can be maked by using combinations of the ship cosmetics. Also if sometimes Rare will add ability to create more characters - add them like npcs on that base.

That's nice too. But other pirates need to be able to join you!
I want to be able to switch A LOT of things.
Like
° Plankbarrel with Foodbarrel & Cannonball-barrel
° Map-table with Mission-table
° Harpoons with lamp-spots
° Ammunition-box replaced with the clothing-chest
etc.
There is a lot of untapped potential here to make your ship feel unique and also more comfy for your very own playstyle.
Plus
it may confuse boarders for a short amount of time.

All ships have at least a cabin, even if it is not a captain's cabin.
I like the idea, I have often thought about it. To be able to add different rugs, different places to store objects, such as small treasures, skulls ect. Like they did when you want to put a parrot in a cage. Kinds of shelves, where you can store small things. Curtains ect. That would be cool. Like a little home

What you put in each is not restricted - so you see, there is already variety!
Gotta build on that and extend it if possible.

Rare has shown us they can do it!

I don't need a necessarily groundbreaking new Worldevent, or a new Tall Tale.
( Not that those are not also very noice. ^_^ )
But the more basic playstyles should be more malleable!
How often have we achieved an unseen, never before success by trying something different?
And that uplifting feeling that comes with it!
