There's no reason not to, they're the rarest thing in the game along with Mr Shrouded and with emissary, an ashen wind skull can sell for just as much if not more than the box. Buff it to 100k or something, cause as said before, it's the rarest item in the game.
Also, make it not take effect from emissaries so people don't sell it to Reapers, I like the lore that Captain Morrow wants them for safekeeping but that's not as important as the gold buff.

@stundorn yeah legit "back in the day" a haul was like 7 captains chests, it's crazy how much the game has changed, but older content gets left behind.
I'd make it 200k-250k
It's not something that can be cheesed and it's in the least frequented area.
at 25k and no commendations it's not really anything more than a screenshot subject.
On double gold weekend during gold rush with a maxed reaper flag I can make 75k on an ashen lord skull alone for 10 minutes of work. Something so rare should remain lucrative

sounds like the next exploit?!?!?They weakened them considerably a few patches ago. Used to take a galleon crew 15 minutes, now about 7-8. Solo I used to get a big head start by hitting them with a row boat pile of 20-30 kegs, haven't tried since the nerf but I imagine its much better from what I hear of other solo players.

It's also not uncommon for them to get stuck even if temporary while they are leaping around which can speed things up

thats anyway not 10 minutes only, not solo, you can maybe get 25-50 kegs before, but then the prep time would count as well and i dont know how many kegs one would need to oneshot an Ashen lord.

If you die or if you use a pistol or sniper or if you spend a lot of time bunny hopping without getting good consistent shots with a blunder it'll take longer. Lords have a very predictable pattern and are surrounded by resources which makes efficiency easy to achieve . You don't need 50 kegs or 200 cannonballs. A blunderbuss and consistency will do
