Feeding chicken and pigs so much will make their little heads swell with love for you.
Although you cant keep them like pets or even name them, you can release them from their cage and pick them up and pet them.
There are fewer things more cruel than betraying these little critters as you need to cook some bacon...them, for your little health regen, but you can all intents and purposes keep them around and treat them like pets, without specifically owning them, and they can still die and wont be with you when you log on i.e still makes paid pets viable.
Even better, current paid pets will get jealous of these wild animals, may like squark or something at them.
These animals can be useful too.
Tame a snake and have it follow you, it will bite skellies and enemy players if they get too close to you or them. But can be killed.
Perhaps tame a few. There isnt a limit as such but there is a limit if you know what i mean.
You have to basically keep feeding them periodically otherwise they get angry then become feral again.
It would be a cool tactic, jumping onto a guys ship and he has 7 snakes all there with him, they’ll all just fighting you like they’re part of the crew.
Totally balanced too because whats to stop you taking 7 snakes on your ship? Plus, all that excess fruit we never use will now have a use.
And when you get bored of them.
Brutally betray them and have them for lunch. 😂
