Do Experience Players have to redo everything?

  • Besides new players getting the opportunity to get use to the game on how things are form ‘The Maiden Voyage’ to ‘Defeating Flameheart’ with the new Season 1. Why do we (for those that have done what is mentioned in the Season 1 Trials and what not) have to redo everything again? I mean, honestly, what’s the reason?

  • The trials are not required to level up in the season, these are optional tasks that just give bonus renown if they are completed during the season's duration. So if you don't feel like doing the same thing as an old commendation you completed you don't have to. You can easily get level 100 through casual play and doing quests.

  • @l-snapper-l Ok gotcha. I mean it’s cool and all, because I want to really get those white glowing eyes at lvl 100. Lol.

  • @rtcoaster1 yea the level 100 stuff is pretty cool, I have just been grinding 15 of the new merchant voyages and am already level 25 so it seems pretty easy to level up.

  • @rtcoaster1 you dont have to, just ignore it!

  • I'm left wondering if the Deeds will reset season to season or if they will be staying but just get added too with future seasons?

Being able to redo these Deeds and be rewarded for it one more time, sure I can get behind that.
Being able to re do them all season to season might get a tad old after a season or two.

  • I'm not a fan of the Seasons to be honest. After reading this thread it did clarify one thing I asked in another thread ie progressions not linked, but seasons overall I think is not the right direction the game should be going.

Loving the new merchant quests, but as @Ixxolos said, re doing quests will get very old very quickly leaving people to just play the game normally and not do the deeds as they've already done them.

Go back to releasing big updates, more adventures, added quests ie the merchant you just added was a nice addition, add another section to the map with more adventures. This is not Fortnight.

  • Trials are just fun goals for some that wanna enjoy doing something again or get some motivation for doing it a first time

Take out megs skelly ships and events on a regular basis and the leveling will be a cakewalk

It's brought a breath of fresh air into my sailing. Typically I grind hard because that's all I got left but with the merchant mission and just about every random thing gaining some form of significance again I've just been casually sailing with people that are into casual play and it's been a blast. Even a pirate needs a vacation from high risk high reward high intensity hostilities

I wish the levels kept going and after 100 the only rewards were doubloons and gold without the cosmetics (so casuals don't get left behind but grinders still get a little fun boost). Seasons and trials are a real brain switch when it comes to enjoying the little moments again.
