  • Explosive barrels, you need to blow up about 5 at once to do enough damage to kill them outright.

  • ignore them and move on, #1 tip for proficiency.

  • I find the only hope is getting the boat in cannon range and fire away.

  • @ursistersturd this is the most underrated approach. Put a piece of loot right over the statue so you know where to shoot

  • @straw-hat-blake hmm, more like @D3ADST1CK said, if you got the GPBs handy and the statue isn’t too deep, place a couple next to it and then cannon away!

Can confirm. Tried it with 5 in shallow water, worked like a charm. But if they spawn too deep you're just out of luck mate, no one way for one player to inflict the necessary damage beyond a certain depth.

  • If shallow you can break the ruby statue with as little as 3 barrels and a couple of cannon hits

  • There's a guy on YouTube, Phuzzy Bond, who has many awesome guides, including everything you need to know about mermaids and mermaid gems. Go check him out!!

Yeah, I have to agree here. Considering you can find rubies just sitting on the beach or bobbing with flotsam, it's not really worth the trouble to try to crack a statue.

It is if you still need the commendation.

    5 GPB's if they're shallow.

Anyone know how many stronghold GPB's it takes?

  • Ahoy!
