what if you could use your hard earned sea of thieves coins to possibly buy songs, and equip the songs you want to use in the shanty selection wheel, thoughts on this?

@rarediamond3002 It's a great idea! I agree! ..but I think they mentioned that there are no plans to sell shanties, but I guess just adding more to the list for everyone to play..
They just made new shanties a while ago and It's not a quick job to make new shanties with all the different instruments. Maybe some day they'll increase the list again!

I do wish they would have elected to have some of the new Shanties be things you unlock via tasks in game - like "We Shall Sail Together" should have been unlocked on becoming Legend for sure, and others could have been tied to particular tasks in game. Would have given something interesting to strive for.
Not that they couldn't consider taking such a step retroactively still, but I doubt it. Does feel like a potentially missed opportunity.

@greengrimz You're correct. We Shall Sail Together can now be played anywhere but only by legends. RedEyeSith said W.S.S.T should be exclusive to legends only, which it is. I assume they just didn't know that.

Honestly to say, I find this out just now as well. Are you completely sure tho? I can swear I saw some freshmen playing it in the Arena lobby the other day. Could be that they picked it up from another player who initially started playing it.

Other people still can play with you, when you, as a legend, starts to play it...I guess

@bronzeinquiztor correct, but not exactly the same as the tavern shanty, we shall sail together is good enough, but maybe they'll add a little extra someday.
