I have always noticed that people drop the game once they have achieved Pirate Legend Athena's 10. Now, they have something more to achieve, with Athena's 25. I think this was a great idea, but what happens when you are done? Once you have completed all of your grinding, you never get the experience back, unless you delete your pirate to create another one. But many people have grown attached to their pirate and their commendations and reputation that they carry. I find myself to be one of them. I have achieved Pirate Legend, and i am worried that I will lose interest in my all - time favorite game due do having nothing else to work for on the game soon. I propose that one player should be able to have multiple pirates to fix this problem. It would give the player a fresh new start, but also allow them to revisit and use their old pirate. I do not know how you would switch between characters, but all of you are very clever and I'm sure could work something out. I feel that a player should have multiple pirates so that they could have a fresh new start, but keep their old accomplished pirate as well. Thanks!
Multiple Pirates on one account
@beammeup1966 Best thing i can suggest: Pick a set of commendations, and start working on them. For me, i chose to work on the Cargo commendations for the Merchant Alliance. Once i finish those, Im thinking of working on the different Fort commendations i havent finished. (Sell so many Mega-kegs, kill duchess so many times, etc...)
Give yourself goals@beammeup1966 quest completions per company, mileage per company, fruit crates. there are plenty of grindy commendations to work on.
@talriaen I will try that. I guess once I have done everything i really don't need that pirate and I will reset it, although I wasn't speaking only for myself. In fact, i have a lot left to do, but i thought that maybe by the time that i was finished this could have been added (a year or so), although i know that this won't get added (or not because of me). It was just a suggestion, and I will figure out what to do either way.
@beammeup1966 Kind of like Destiny? I like the idea, but I wouldn't delete my pirate even if I completed all commendations. Another thing to do would be to buy or earn all cosmetics and titles.
If you're grinding then, IMO, you're doing yourself a disservice instead of truly enjoying the Sea for what it is - an adventure. My compatriots are right, though - PL isn't the end, nor was it ever meant to be. In fact, the devs have actually been quoted as saying that it's only the beginning.
Another thing to consider are the monthly updates that are always coming that help keep things fresh - with new shanty options and ghost-ship voyages coming next week, there's no time to be bored. Flameheart's making sure of that!
@galactic-geek I think I must've worded what I said wrong. Personally, i did grind to pl, but I've stopped and have not grinded for a while. I was mainly speaking about others, i guess because I have friends who have had that happen. I only mentioned myself because I thought it would happen later, around a year or so from now.
