Boring Things that gives laziness and gives will of leaving the game to EVERYONE

  • I want to talk about a serious thing that makes me and much others players want to stop playing this beautiful game.
We are talking about selling your treasures... SOOO BORING AND MAKES ME LEAVE THE GAME.
The process of selling your treasures is too TIRING and SLOW that makes me fall asleep and I know that every player feel the same.
It's just exhausting take every chest, every skull or anything and bring one by one, I know that there's a way of put 3 items inside the chest but c'mon... It really makes the difference when we have a Big amount of treasures?

Why there's only 3 slots inside that CHEST? A chest of that size should carry at least 8, It doesn't need to be perfect lined and organized inside of it. And other thing that I can't undersand is why don't allow player to carry more than one skull or item in hand?

Why don't allow players to run when carryng chests? One of the things that makes it way more boring... the time to carry chests and stuffs whitout running, even if it's just ONE skull or any other item on your hand. Whe should be allowed to carry like 3 or 5 items on both arms, I just don't know why we should carry only one item at only one hand and can't run with it. Impossible to understand things like that.

Why doesn't have a cart to carry a your treasures and take it to the market point? We gotta save time with this thing, its confusing, It's just SO BORING sell item by item, one by one. All outposts MUST have it. And it makes anyone stressful when you see other players coming to your Outpost and you still have to sell 30 things and not having any time for It until others pirates come to you to kill and robbing all of it.

It's just a few things that would make gameplay WAY more practical... we spend A LOT of precious time at this dumb and stressful process of taking items to the selling point, It is boring and tiring to any player, i'm say this for all every single person that play this game.
I love this game but, I need to say that little things like this... is killing my will at Sea Of Thieves.

I Really hope that you guys make something, I Really love this awesome game, but there's some thing that would make the game more practical and less boring. Love you all developers from Sea Of Thieves

Sorry about any error at this text, Im Brazilian and not Fluent yet at English.

  • I will only say I wiosh we ran and swam faster when selling stuff

  • @ola-marilene157 the "Thieves" in this game need to have a chance to steal it, if you could put 8 skulls into one chest you could make a drive-by at the outpost once while beeing chased and can leave the game
I am a mostly PvE player, but this game is PvEvP...all that suggestions just make it easier for PvE players and much harder for PvPers
Keep it fair for both sides of the game

  • @ola-marilene157 sagte in Boring Things that gives laziness and gives will of leaving the game to EVERYONE:

(Other thing that would come in handy, it would be a good thing to add "Wheel Sensivity option" It's too slow to turn the wheel and would be god having a Sensivity option to change it, or the option to TURN THE WHEEL WITH THE MOUSE, Would be

Did you really just suggested this? Think of it please...this would completely destroy the balance between ship types, because you could turn faster with bigger ships than intended, sloops wouldn't be able to outrun bigger ships anymore

  • @schwammlgott Trully undestandable, sorry about that, I hadn't thought on that way.

  • Sounds you may wanna change course and play something else. You laziebeard XD

    Want to simplify everything. XD

  • Tbh, selling stuff is one of the best parts of this game, watching your gold and rep go up is satisfying, ESPECIALLY if you had to fight off other players to keep it, combat is pretty tedious with skeletons, basically just spam the trigger until you get sniped by a pistol boi, and yes I am aware that you can line of sight them but its not always an option, then you sit there and wait to be revived or wait for the long a** respawn time, riddles and X maps are kinda fun, and I like the merchants voyages just coz they're usually pretty peaceful and theres no nonsense... Turning in a mountain of loot after 6 hours of sailing is one of the most satisfying things ive done

  • Well, yes and no.
    Empty your ship regularly.
Also angers the Wolfs of this game.

There is nothing more satisfying as losing your ship to a bigger crew just to know they find mostly nothing on your ship.
And in most cases they never found anything on my ship cause I dropped it into the Sea when I was not confident in my escape.

But not too close to each other! In case they might stop! I do not want to make it ez for them!
They never stopped. And I never stopped as well. Giggeling that is.

  • Today, my solo sloop was beset upon by a brigantine representing the Reaper's Bones. I fled and fought back, eventually passing by a gunpowder barrel in the water that I was able to use to sink them. Fearing reprisal, and knowing there were 3 other Gold Hoarder emissaries on the server, I tracked one down (another sloop) and requested their help for protection. We allied together, and in exchange, I helped them with their voyages. We fought off the brigantine together as well as another sloop, and completed a fort together.

At turn in, we had so much loot, it took us 30 minutes to sell it all. We didn't betray each other either - believe me, with the stronghold keg in my posession, I was sorely tempted; however, I also realized that I was outnumbered and 1 stray bullet would spell my doom. So, uneasily, we paid out - and it was glorious! My new company promotion and capstan are wonderful!

  • @ola-marilene157 PFFFFFTTTT. Selling the items i got from the various forts I farmed earlier in the day is the best part! Seeing all that delicious moolah rolling in in waves. Perfection. If you really want to make it faster, get a rowboat with a harpoon and use the harpoon to get onto the outpost with the loot. Or the reapers hideout. That's where I sell all of my loot.

  • I am sure there are crews on the server who'd love to do it instead of you 😁.

  • Yes, selling loot can be a slog, especially if you're fortunate enough to amass a lot of it. (Don't complain!) But it's a necessary part of the mechanics of the game, and unique to Sea of Thieves. Every piece of loot is an actual, physical object that must be found, carried, stowed, and eventually sold. I love that aspect of the game! But more to the point, it's necessary that the loot be physical so it can be stolen. That's what makes it so special, and why making it more convenient isn't practical in Sea of Thieves.

I thought the developers were pretty generous giving us chests to carry a few items around in, and they definitely help. I could see maybe adding one more slot in those chests for a total of four...but that's as far as I'd go. We also got rowboats and harpoons to help with treasure collection and transport. So Rare has already improved our loot-loving lives quite a bit. Who knows? Maybe in the future they'll come up with even more brilliant ways to make loot more manageable.

PS: L u s t is a prohibited word? Seriously? It's a perfectly suitable, non-offensive word with a number of useful applications, especially regarding pirates and loot! Arr!

9utrigger motor. This game needs magical motors that we put on back of our boat we can fire off ever 3 minutes powered by cannonball explosions

  • i love selling, and three items in a chest makes a huge difference;)

  • Always thought it would be cool to have a cart (that can carry up to 4 chests or something). You can find them around the world so maybe one day it will be added.

  • @ola-marilene157

While I agree that selling loot is the most boring task if uncontested, it is also just as important to pace the speed at which you can sell. Why are you slower when walking around with treasure is to make it possible for people to catch up to you. Why you have a limit to what you can carry is to have it take longer to haul large amounts of loot onboard and to the sales person. These things allow for people to steal loot. If you are being chased and contested for your loot, the selling of items isn't all that boring at all. As you state if you have 30 things and see someone come... it isn't that boring anymore now is it! That is why it functions in the way it does.

The funny part of your message is you talk about laziness, but hauling it back and forth isn't lazy, it requires you to do something. Personally I am extremely lazy, therefore I seek a rowboat with a harpoon, load my items in there and just pull myself up onto the middle of the outpost when I haul a lot, play smart if you want to be lazy. You can get it usually straight in front of the gold hoarders tent on most outposts.

You can also decide to sell in between and split up the selling during the sailing, jump off with loot each time you are near an outpost. Reducing the number of times you have to walk back and forth at the end.

There is another solution to not sell stuff yourself btw. Give it away, don't sell it, give everything to an alliance member and have them deal with it.

    That's what I said! 🙄
