Bring Back EoR skeletons.

    Since the EoR skeletons have been removed from gameplay, new weapons, such as firebombs and blunder bombs, and even giesers and mega kegs have been introduced into the game, resulting in clearing out waves of skeletons effortlessly, even as a solo player.

    Since skeletons are the only threat in the sea of thieves in an AI form on islands, perhaps now its time to bring those snipers back?

    Make islands more of a challenge again. Its all just too easy right now. Even running Athena solo.
    Forts are also far too easy without them there to challenge a crew a little more.

    Who else would love to see these fabled skeletons returned to the game?

    @needsmokes it's a shame they are only in the crows nest of skelly ships. they could bring them back and just make them rare/uncommon

    Absolutely not. If anything, I want their flintlocks confiscated too. Skeletons need dodge-able projectile weapons. Getting hit by unavoidable RNG aimbots, isn't fun.

    They were a pain when 4-5 had somehow spawned and were light you up, but I still didnt think they needed to be removed.

    Add at most 1 at a time, and they would be fine. Even if they were only added to higher level voyages, I would be happy.

    I kind of agree, I miss the little guys.
    Yes they were annoying but they put up a challenge, a good challenge. Which I rather have.

    Maybe tweak them a lot, make sure they reload slower, shoot slower and do minor damage.

    (Back in the day, I jumped, one shot me, second shot me, remained in the air and third shot me to kill) Annoying but geez was it funny.

    Even funnier when they were hiding in the bushes!

    You only have to throw a bomb at them now.. How easy do players need things to be?

    And we also have revive coming soon too.
    So bring back those skellies!
    Let's see how well island campers deal with those 😂

    They were removed for being too strong when they were weak, and they could've been nerfed instead of removed.

    @needsmokes I'm actually might of changed my mind about the little rats they were quite funny but if they were added back spawn 1 or very rare 2 but not as much damage

    @needsmokes agreed even the pistol skeletons dont offer much in the way of a challenge anymore unless there in a mob i kinda miss getting 2 shot by skeletons perhaps don't include there old god aim though to balance for the new players who have no clue 🤣

    You don't need EoR Skellies because Pistol Skellies fill that niche. Rare can fiddle with their accuracy settings all they want. (You see, the Skellies aren't actually using the scope to shoot at you. In case you were confused.)

    I'd prefer a whole new type of enemy.

    Yes. Anything to make the pve in the game even a bit more challenging and worth doing.

    They never make the game more difficult or challenging. Rare have a history of making everything easier and more achievable to please the wet lettuces.
    Whilst I agree with you that more of a challenge is needed, I wouldn’t hold your breath.

    Skeletons can't detonate kegs by shooting at them, so that won't be a problem. I think adding EoR skeletons back would be nice, even if flintlock skeletons more or less do the same.
    Also, @Galactic-Geek , while it would be cool to have bomb-throwing skellies, do you really want skeletons to throw firebombs while in a fort with gunpowder barrels scattered everywhere? It would certainly be a cool fireworks display, but I don't know if it's worth such a loss of resources and both pirate and skeleton lives.
    What I really miss, more than EoR skeletons, are the crazy running skeletons with exploding kegs chasing you around the island. They were frustrating sometimes, but I miss the feeling of "oh sh-" that came from hearing a fuse going off out of nowhere. It was a lot of fun.

    Skeletons can shoot at kegs.

    I once rowed to the FOTD and lay in wait just offshore with some powder kegs to launch an attack on the vessel assaulting the Fort once completed.
    I rowed far and waited patiently for my chance to spring into action only to be thwarted by a passing skeleton ship which sniped at me and exploded my kegs 😒

    @needsmokes not sure about that, you sure you didn't get hit by a cannonball?
    You can use kegs as shields against skeletons because they block their shots, I do it all the time.

    I miss the times where approaching an active fort was considered dangerous because the cannons could sink you.

    No, it was definitely a sniper skeleton. My keg was not being held by me at the time, just placed inside the rowboat. I took the video of it at the time to show friends.
    Since cleaned up all my screenshots and videos and no longer have it unfortunately. Was my payment for what I was about to do😅

    @needsmokes I understand, maybe EoR skeletons are unaffected because they were removed from islands before the change was made? That would explain it, I swear you can block shots from other skeletons with a keg.
