I thought the the clothing glitch was suppose to be fixed this month, but my character still enters the game naked and my emotes keep resetting.
Still have the clothing glitch.
@shamanmclamie
That's not good. I would submit a support ticket here: https://support.seaofthieves.com/hc/en-gbBefore you do, it would be helpful if you logged in/out a couple of times with different clothes/items equipped. That way, you can tell them "I logged in X amount of times under Y conditions, and my loadout failed to save"- information like that is useful for programmers
@limbicfanatic I already have, but it's just super annoying glitch because everytime I enter a game, or switch servers I have to go re-equip all my clothes and emotes and weapons and because there is no way to quickly equip items and how there is no logic to how things are organized except when the item was created it is super tedious equipping items. It doesn't help it takes a few seconds for pictures and names to load in the selection after joining a game.
I'm just frustrated because this glitch has been around since January and it was said the latest update would fix it and it hasn't. I'm worried it's going to be one of those glitches that gets ignored and never fixed.
@shamanmclamie It's a known bug, and Joe Neate even mentioned that they worked on it before this update (they axtually thought it was fixed).
The good news is Rare knows about, and have already actively tried to fix it.
If you're tired of starting naked, just make sure you don't have more than 12 items equipped (that's the total between clothing and vanity). Emotes are a special case, since they only count as 1/6 of a clothing item each.
Just trying to help you out here, since I've done a ton of testing with this bug.
@bactatankbill Ok that's what that other guy was talking about. Okay I'll try that. Since you've tested it can you add an additional items after joining another session, or is going over 12 items going to cause it to reset Everytime?
I'm just hollering about this because in the Patch Notes it says they fixed it and it isn't and I don't want this issue being thrown to the back burner like so many other glitches that affect players.
@shamanmclamie Yeah I feel that. I hope they get it ironed out ASAP as well.
The absolute most you can equip and have it save is 13 items (clothes and vanity) + 5 emotes. anything more and nothing saves.
I currently run 3 clothing (shirt, pants, gloves) and 3 vanity (hair, beard, hair color) because that gives me all but 1 emote slot as well.

Wow, I had no idea that's how the glitch worked. Do you know if anyone's made a post with that info? If not, you should make that information more public- I'm sure there are plenty of people who would be happy to learn this tidbit.
@shamanmclamie Really? Even with 0 emotes equipped at all (including the first radial), you can only equip 5 items?
What is the total nunber of emotes you have equipped and saved right now?
I've noticed some items take up more slots than others (the constellation tattoo takes 7 slots, for instance), so what 5 items are you equipping?
Try switching all 5 to the 'sailor' skin and see if that changes the results.
@gatorwocky Have you gotten it to save again after you put everything back? This has the potential to be most distressing...
The work around regarding the hard cap hasn’t worked for me. I’ve tried everything you all suggested when I posted about the same problem. It’s just one of those things I guess. Support tickets aren’t getting anywhere either. I even asked if their was a timeline on a possible fix and none was given.
@whyo I'm worried they're going to shove this under the rug and never bother to fix it. It's not on their list of Known issues anymore. Which is why we need to keep bringing it up on the forums, twitter, streams, etc and hollering about it until it's been addressed.
@shamanmclamie I have figured it out. You have to reset your character using ancient coins in the Pirate Emporium shop.
