@plebochino sagte in Show how many players that are online on the server:
Hi my fellow Pirates.
Lets be honest here, nobody wants to play on a server with 0 ships on it.
Servers merge if you are alone!
And a server holds between 2 and 24 players with 2-6 crews in total and all ships possible. 6 Sloops = 6 to 12 players.
6 Galleones = 6 to 24 players.
You will bareley have only 2 Sloops with 2 players on a server or at least nit for a long time.
Or atleast us PvP players dont want to. I know, there's these two categories between PvP and PvE players. Personally I'm the PvP one.
Wrong, there may be PvX only players, but they all aproach the game limited, the true score is a mix of both aka contested PvE or like we say PvEvP.
Forts and Reapers are best examples but literaly everything else, even Tall Tales are too.
So what I'm saying is, that devs need to make this thing that shows how many players and ships are online on the server your playing on.
They dont need to, use your spyglas.
This game is not about PvP only (nor pve only) and to go out to hunt others.
If you wanna do that fine, but please dont ask for changes to the game to fit your playstyle, but use the given tools instead.
You ask for easy kills, nor wanting to put the effort in to leave your mark it in the Seabox.
Or else you're just wasting your time sailing around looking for ships to battle, when in reality there's noone.
Playing games is wasting time.
If you look for esport or more serious PvP competition SoT is the wrong game for you.
This is a comical pirate game for casuals and for fun players what is all about a mix of pve and pvp in a playfull way.
So if you're a PvP player, and you see that there's not many online you just leave and go to other one. If PvE players want to do their thing, they can just search for ones with not many people online.
So you seem not to immerse and play a pirate but to cheese the system to please your playstyle what is a limited one if we consider what the game is really about.
For sure not a PvP only game, even if you make or aproach it like one.
In the end of the day it's a pirate game, but whats a pirate game without ships shooting and plundering eachother?
Never missed any shooting and plundering during my sessions.
Or lets say very rarely. Playing since tech alpha.
These PvE players need to step their game up. You cannot sail around only doing quests, without battling other ships, come on man its a pirate game. But if PvE players want to do their thing, they can do it but they need to look "pirate" in the eyes.
LoL, take this and exchange PvP for PvE and it's the same limited blabla, seriously it's biased only, nothing else.
