Disarm mechanic

  • Swords could have an ability of disarming other armed opponents using the heavy attack.

    Upon a successful hit, the enemys pistol, blunder, sniper or sword will fly out of their hand.

    However, the pirate can pick their weapon back up (and only them) or they can flee to the weapon storage to grab another ( causing the dropped weapon to despawn). They dont even need to open weapon container, just use the attack button when unarmed, as its more seamless given the heat of the moment.

    This effectively brings about a delay. Getting ganged up on players of even gun wielding skellies, heavy attack and finish them off.

    Skilled pvpers can either counter, switch to their other weapon or flee for a weapon storage for another weapon.

    This will give sword users a great reason to use swords and be the jedi of the sea.

    However i dont feel this to be too overpowered. Its avoidable if you practise.

  • This would make the sword become OP, it would not be cool for combat.

  • yah I always use a sword and this sounds overpowered.

  • Make it a percentage type deal.
    Tweak the percentage where its an inherant risk but nor guarenteed.

    Find the percentage where its not to common but not too rare.

    That way it would work perfectly.

    Its only OP because you think its every hit it disarms.

    What if its a percent chance? At a level it makes it dangerously possible but not guaranteed?
