You know how we have curses for players why not curses for ur ship such as making your ship look ghostly or shadowy or making the water around it black or red any other ideas? Would be a nice addition tho
Ship curses
@mcgarnaglewolf
Those commendations might even be a bit low for some. Here're some of my ideas:
Ghost curse: A ghostly ship, with parts broken off and floating similarly to the Ferry of the Damned, but not to the same extent. The ship causes a thin layer of fog just over the surface of the water, though not enough to impede vision in any way, as well as having a wider glow on the lanterns. Unlocked at the highest level of Athena's Fortune, whatever that may be by the time of implementation.
Bone Crusher curse: A battle-torn ship, with many original parts broken and replaced with scraps of wood, similarly to the skeleton ships, but again, not to the same extent. The towers, platforms and major additions would not be given, and the masts and bowsprit would remain intact. Unlocked by sinking 250 skeleton ships of any type (legendary status not required).
Kraken curse: A constant darkening in the water around the ship, along with stains of ink and damage from battle with many a kraken. The water has no change in view distance into, out of, or through it. Unlocked by defeating 25 krakens and/or selling 50 pieces of cooked kraken meat.
Curse of the Reaper: A reddish stain in the water around the ship, along with several swords and daggers embedded in various spots around the ship. Bullet holes visible in many areas, as well as dents from cannon impacts on the hull. Unlocked by selling 25 reaper's chests and completing 50 voyages with the Reaper's Mark active.
Curse of the Wailing Barnicle: Sea life, such as starfish and barnacles, on most surfaces, along with water damage. A notable increase in visible fish swimming around the ship. Unlocked by selling 100 mermaid gems.
Forsaken Ashes curse: Burn and impact marks visible on many parts of the ship, along with heavily singed sails. Unlocked by completing 250 ashen voyages.@ultmateragnarok amazing ideas and these r much better and would be cosmetic, I could see rare adding this in

love your ideas as well
@closinghare208 thank you it would be sick if u are approaching a ship and the water turns red or black that would be sick

true
I really love these ideas. I could imagine these being difficult to implement, but its something I hope the devs would consider trying to implement. Adds more diversity to ships on the seas.
I would love to see the ability for us to name our ships (all ship types). Have a small plaque somewhere in the ship where we could name them when picking out or ship cosmetics for that session.
@king-deka maybe not pl only but for completing commendations but u could have some for pl exclusively like one for the ghost ship set
Cool idea, but my concern is that there would be very few normal ships left on the seas lol. There'd need to be a way to really limit how many people have the curses, since it's not really the same as a pirate curse. Imagine if you're on a galleon and one happens to have a ship curse, all you'd need is one person to add it so for every 4 people youd only need 1 person to have the curse.
How about needing every crew member to have the curse for it to apply? 2 for a sloop curse, 3 for a brig curse, 4 for a galleon curse. It'd make more sense since a cursed ship means a cursed crew ;)
@daringclarky
I had the idea of taking a cursed cannonball and throwing it at the deck, which would activate the curse on the ship. On an enemy galleon and want it to sink faster? Throw a ballastball. Been caught with your anchor down and another ship is approaching fast? Use an anchorball. Don't want to deal with the chaotic steering the storm is giving you? Pop a helmball.
I also like the idea of shooting two cursed cannonballs at each other, causing a larger explosion of both curses which affects everything around it. Of course, you can also just fire them both straight up as a firework or beacon.@ultmateragnarok I like it.
In a cool way, having cursed cannonballs makes you kind of a pirate gandalf.
I reakon there would be a limit to the amount one can hold, but i could see this happening and it would be pretty cool.
To celebrate they should bring some new curses too, some as a novelty, some powerful and some with a very niche use.
It will make encounters unique for sure.
@daringclarky
There are a great many concepts for cursed cannonballs out there, including new colors and uses. They have a lot to be inspired by. As for limits, you can only hold 10 on your pirate (used to be 10 of each type, but they changed that quickly). Barrels seem to have no limit to cursed cannonball capacity.
