Fort of the damned clear commendation not counting ...

I reckon if it were going to just come through it would have by now. If it didn't track at all, then there's probably no way to retroactively award it.

I'm going to do my part to save others from this terrible plight by relentlessly attacking them at the fort. It's for their own good, I'd hate for them to be disappointed.

Probably give the Greymarrow a rest until I know it's fixed though.

An here i was thinking it only counted the times i was clearing it with all skellies killed before the Captain gets dusted.
The wording of the commendation made me think it was meant to be this way.

I helped clear it twice tonight in an alliance both times. It counted the first time, but not the second time. I want to keep playing the Fort, but I'm thinking I might hold off on playing any more until this is fixed so we get credit for all the time we're putting into it. 😌👍💜

I think it has something to do with dying. I didn’t do the fort the last 3 times. I swam to an active one and tucked. I got all 3 completions. I spoke to the guys after I made myself known and one crew said it was their 5th time and it was the only time they got credit.

I think if someone is around or on the island and doesn’t die during maybe? If even on the last wave? It works. But yeah, 3 for 3 and all I done was tuck.

Hmmm, interesting. I'll have to give that a try. It's a terrible bug when you think about it though. The hardest encounter that they've put in SoT so far (even worse than OG Meg) and the majority aren't getting credit for completing it by the looks of things.

When you think about it the community here has been kinda cool about it, all things considered. Well done everyone.

Hopefully Rare can get it sorted faster than the item switching bug. It's a real shame to not feel that the actual event is worth the effort, it was never about the loot for me, but I want that commendation.

Till then there's still glory to be had denying others.

@satanicnemesis i diden't die a single time and none of the crews got that, i diden't get it either.

@reapinglegion strange, I am at work at the moment but I intend to server hop and tuck my way to 10 completions counted this evening (technically I should be on 16, alas I’m on 6). So i will follow up if, at any time my tactic fails to count in the next 4 completions.

Edit: providing the hotfix isn’t issued before then obviously

Wont do any forts 'til then, good thing i've gotten tired of SoT and hang more on the forums than i do on the game nowadays haha

It's not timelimited so you've got all the time in the world mate.

@british-legends I arrived at a fort, by the time I got there they were already fighting greymarrow. I tucked and it worked. So I’m not sure you have to survive the whole event in its entirety. If this was the case though I’d rather rare tweeted a workaround while waiting to fix instead of having so many people wasting their time trying to get the jacket.

I’m going to give it a miss until it’s fixed. There’s no guarantee you will get your previous clears so I’m not going to risk it.

I did 2 times the clear fort damned but not counting, so i wont repeat until it is solve.

Cleared 10 forts in 2 days, counted 1 fort...

I’ve had a friend test this too. To get a completion with 100% success. Start a fort and have one person hide up a tower or around the back the whole event. When you complete it with the rest of the crew you will get credit.

Or just server hop, find an active fort and hide at it until they finish it. They won’t even know it, but your doing them a favour too lol.

@soggierwaffles Same, 0 for 5 and I personally got the last hit on Graymoorrow and placed the key in the vault.

@satanicnemesis I started my first fort, then got wrecked by a galleon, they completed the fort. I tucked after spawning into water, and zero. My current number is 4 actual completions and to no avail I am still 0 for 5

Just tried this. Tucked on a fort an alliance was doing. Didnt hit or kill a single skelly and the commendation popped after they unlocked the vault.

finished one today. duo sloop, no alliance, no outside interference except a brig we sunk. no credit for completion, only shade kills.
