Horde Mode to please PvErs?

  • I know the PvE discussions are ridiculous, as I don't see the point of adding a PvE adventure mode, without PvP.
So, I would like to suggest a horde mode, where X amount of people could join a game, and fight skellies wave by wave. There would be no limit to the amount of waves, so the more waves you have completed, the more reputation and gold you earn. This mode would be similar to the Black Ops II zombies mode, as it would require you to earn wealth (this would be some form of currency, like silver) to progress throughout the map.
I do see this as being maybe too similar to skull forts and such? But this is just a suggestion, nothing that is a must-add. Also this could maybe fit in with order of souls somehow, but I think it may fit well with the game, seeing that skeletons are a major threat among the seas. Please, comment your ideas that you may want to add to this idea, and debate if this could make the game better or worse (as if this would be added to the game in the future, not now).

  • Yeah a PVE mode that is totally different form adventure, and that everyone could enjoy would be great, there is no point in copying a mode and gutting it. I would love a horde mode! Both ships and island skellies hordes could be interesting. I'd love to see coop tall tales too at some point, had a couple of ideas here.

  • I'd kill for a Horde mode.

I see peeps often talking about arctic content... How about a mode where your ship is stuck in the ice and you have to repell waves of skeletons, all while fighting to repair your ship from the damage caused by the crushing ice.

Salvage supplies from nearby ships that were long ago destroyed by the ice. Each wave of skeletons can be lead by a skeleton captain with the penultimate boss being a Skeleton Lord.

Defeat the Lord to thaw the ice & save your ship!

This would be the only way to make a pve mode. I'd be worried about dev time with this, but if they have it so arena and the pve mode combined have the same amount of(or less) attention as adventure mode.
They could then reduce the size of the arena button and put horde under it, to emphasize adventure.
