Season Pass: Premium Tier

The Premium Tier replaces the old Plunder Pass and is an optional addition to the free Season Pass, allowing you to unlock extra rewards as you play and raise your Renown. Alongside the standard rewards available to everyone playing through a Season, the Premium Tier grants access to an additional pool of new ship cosmetics, plus a generous helping of Ancient Coins to help you recoup the cost.

Once purchased, you won’t need to do anything to activate your Season Pass: Premium Tier. Simply continue to raise your Renown through the Season as you normally would by undertaking Voyages, handing in loot, completing Deeds and so on, and enjoy the extra rewards unlocked as you climb the 50 levels of the Season Pass.

No need to worry: after purchase, the Premium Tier will automatically unlock any cosmetic rewards or currency allocated at levels you’ve already reached, ready for you to claim.

Like other Seasonal rewards, those in the Premium Tier are unlocked gradually as you spend time playing the game and progressing through the Season Pass. This means that to get the full value from the Premium Tier, you’ll need to put in the time to raise your Renown all the way and ensure you unlock all the items!

Ancient Coins can be purchased in packs from the platform store where you play Sea of Thieves. For example, if you’re a Steam user then you should purchase Ancient Coins through the Steam Item Store, as purchases from other storefronts cannot be claimed naturally on your account. Players participating in the Microsoft Rewards scheme can also trade points for Ancient Coin bundles, while Ancient Coins can occasionally be earned in-game by meeting and defeating rare Ancient Skeletons.
