All About Recipes
Custom Seas mode is designed to let you create endless personalised challenges on the Sea of Thieves, and all that freedom can take some getting used to. Try starting with our recipe cards, a selection of suggested game modes that are quick and easy to set up, giving you a chance to get used to the tools at your disposal before you dive into making your own creations.
Remember that there aren’t any fixed rules in Custom Seas – you and your crew can adapt these recipes to your heart’s content, then start creating your own!
Rowboat Royale
Split everyone into teams of two – one pilot and one gunner – and battle to the death aboard Rowboats with nothing but a Trident to defend yourself. Watch out for the Gunpowder Barrels hidden in the water while you’re at it…
TDM!
An oldie-but-goodie – team deathmatch! Bullets are set to fly in this showdown on Old Sailor Isle, with spoils of silver on offer to pirates who can slay a member of the enemy team or revive one of their own fallen fighters before time runs out.
Skeleton Snipe Hunt
Put your aim to the test from the comfort of your own Galleon. With your entire crew aboard, challenge them to see who can take out the highest number of skeletons roaming a nearby shoreline, earning precious silver with every kill.
King of the Hill
A guardian stands alone atop a Sea Fort filled with loot, which all other players are intent on claiming for themselves. The catch is that only the guardian is allowed to attack, so the invaders must use every sneaky trick available to get out undetected.
Hide and Sneak
On the winding streets of Port Merrick, a host of pirates have hidden themselves away, disguised as simple Sailor’s Chests. One pirate is assigned as the seeker and armed with a cutlass, out to hunt down those hidden souls as quickly as possible…
Rowboat Rally
Flex those biceps – there’s rowing to be done. In Rowboat Rally, pirates are armed with nothing but a Rowboat, a Horn of Fair Winds and their own determination to be the first to navigate their little vessel around a large island.
