Gold for friends?

    Idea to help the kill on sight problem. Could be a new alliance or maybe just add this to merchants. The voyage is simple but could be a lot of fun.

    Obtain a signature from a pirate from another crew. Then do the classic SoT thing.. sail back, sell it and get gold /rep.

    Now I also thought that the more total rep the pirate has, the more gold/rep you get. So a pirate legends signature would be like a captain chest for this voyage. Obviously it should only let you sell a pirates signature once,to avoid exploits.

    This quest gives you a reason to not kill pirates right away. It could also encourages trading signatures for loot or favors.

    I feel like it could work similarly to the current merchant voyages only instead of a cage, you get a scroll. It would also add a pen to your equipment.

    Let me know what you guys think? Additions are welcome.

    I think this isn't a bad idea. We def need more positive reasons to interact. I am ok with positive incentives to fight as well, but people seem to do that regardless and you may get loot out of it haha.

    I think if there were ways to gamble gold between each other we would be more likely to interact. Like bet on a duel or a game of chance. I think you are on the right track with involving a gold incentive. Maybe its own trading company and the more people you 'shake hands with' 'get signature' whatever with the higher that companies rep goes. Could be like the pirates code faction. It rewards us for doing pirate code things like parle and idk whatever haha. And we give each other rep, we all get a bit of gold and are all the better for it.

    @revanjstone yeah, i figured something like this might open the door for more stuff to do with other pirates. If you see someone sailing close holding a paper then you might think about what you could trade for..or just welcome the experience of having a reason to let someone else on your boat.
