Id like to have a home base, like a personal and decoratable hidden cave or vault possibly on an island or optionally under the sea where I could hoard my treasures over game sessions and dock my ship. with the option to purchase access to a shipwright to repair it or redecorate it. the bases should be expensive in gold to purchase and be hidden but accessable to potential looters possibly with use of puzzle locks or traps and special droppable once use keys or totems that are kept by the owner but give no indication of the location of the home base, making them difficult to find and access but not impossible for the aspiring looter. commendations could be provided for increasing your treasure hoard and decorating your base or for the successful finding and looting of someone elses secured treasure room. the treasure itsself would still have to be taken to an outpost to sell.

With the way the game is constructed, the only home base that makes sense is an instanced one which makes it impossible to be lootable. It would just be a small static map that you can purchase trinkets and decorations for most likely.
You'd probably have to dive there, since it would be hosted in a separate server outside of the game world, which means no treasure stashing either.

Already have purchased a ship. it doesnt adequately fulfil the requirements.
A ship may be moveable across the seas but is neither hidden nor is it a particularly secure place to store loot. it is highly vulnerable to being sunk at all times. it is often left out in the open unguarded. it is vulnerable to the weather and to other dangers and it is at the best of times easily robbed. which makes it absolutely not the ideal place to store a hoade of treasure over a prolonged period and certainly is not in the same league as a static secured vault.
A ship is ideal for the transportation of loot from A to B which is exactly the use it is already put to at the moment. what I am looking for is a place to keep my loot. to pile it up high and safe that is not under constant threat from other ships, from skeletons and from storms etc until im ready to transport it for sale. yes I could bury it and I have done on occasion but that is extremely time consuming.

Yep agree. Boat is all you need in this type of game.
They bring bases and stuff into this game the game will go in a bad direction.
