I believe us players who bought the premium edition of the game should also get all the bonuses from the X edition like we do with all the other versions as the premium cost more then the X edition and I don’t see a reason not believe it’s fair we spend another $90 just to get the bonus rewards from a lesser edition, feels like a cash grab if this doesn’t change.

Of course it’s a cash grab, they’re a business, but it’s not aimed at existing players. It’s to entice new ones in, and if people are willing to throw away irl money for a pair of white sails, then let ‘em.
You also bought the game a year ago, you don’t suddenly get rewarded for doing so with the exclusive item they’re dangling in front of people for the X edition this year.
Considering it's close to free on gamepass (if people play more than one game on it) and a 7 year old game, I wouldn't be surprised if these higher priced bundles are far more aimed at fomo hooked regs than new players.
New players don't feel they need any of that stuff and new players regularly look for deals on older games. Lower than 80 bucks or whatever it is.
It's the few thousand SoT regs out there that feel they have to have everything "rare" that they make common by all getting it and using it (lol), that buy that stuff.
It was like when they started selling curses, the same people that said something against it mostly went out and bought it because of fomo.
I don't know any non-sot players that would buy into an 80 dollar SoT right out the gate, I know of a whole bunch of SoT regs that'll buy into it just for some sails to flex on a server full of people in the same situation. Especially during an extra level of economic uncertainty right now for a lot of people. It's all fomo for regs.
I dunno if it would make any difference or not but this is why I always challenge the criticism about the pirate emporium. The pirate emporium in SoT is a much more consumer friendly way to do business in SoT than the high dollar fomo bundles just for one or two items.
@tesiccl I know it’s a business, all I’m saying is that it could’ve been added in or given us a discount to buy those extra stuff, I get most players who played for years won’t want it but some of us might like and want it but not gonna want to spend another $90 just to get it, seems reasonable to ask for a cheaper bundle for us.
