Anyone been shot through walls? As ive played sometimes ive been shot through walls from other players. This is just unfair and wrong. Please look into this.

It's possible, but should be fixed in my opinion. It's illogical to shoot through a whole ship and land a shot.

@scallywagmango its wall banging. It's always been a thing. Its particularly useful when people hide in the back of a sloop.
@irampage4 It's called wallbanging, and many players (myself included) consider it a useful skill. I suspect it's partially in the game to help with the already bad hit reg--it makes things a bit easier if the game only has to worry about collisions between bullets and players on the ship, and not the ship itself. Even skeletons can wallbang. It should perhaps be made more clear to players that it's possible though, so people understand what's happening to them and can try to counter it/use it. I could also see reduced bullet damage through surfaces making sense, though personally I wouldn't advocate such a change (partially because it comes back to the whole hit reg issue).
Personally I don't use it, and despite that have never felt at a disadvantage, but I think that's simply because it's never been used against me (as far as I know anyways) since most players likely don't even know about it. Once it spreads like Summit1g with the DGE, though, you can bet complaints will be made and change will come.
