@Galactic-Geek good thread. I agree with all of you. Specifically with...
@dislex-fx:
In my opinion Rare keep making stupid decisions with nerf after nerf after more loot after more loot after nerf after loot after nerf after loot...
Challenge us. Reward us for hard work. Make us earn 'it'.
@viperishemu2992:
Your supposition answers itself. (redundancy).
There is LOOT everywhere. Ergo, Players are less likely to attack others.
@shut-ur-mouth:
I don't believe we are saturated with loot. We ARE UNDERSATURATED WITH COSMETICS to spend money on, making loot pointless.
So, here I my thoughts:
1.There's excesive loot around. With the addition of Barrels of Plenty, you can become PL just by sailing. Last day, I played in a brig with 2 PL and they were completely noobs.
2.Right now there are mostly 2 kinds of players:
-Loads of children who aren't good at playing so they have lousy loot or nothing at all.
-Loads of PL with millions of gold who don't bother to gather loot, cause it takes a lot of time while there's always something more fun to do, which drives me to the next point...
3.There's so much to do. My crew, we attempt to speed run the Dark Relics' voyages, but there's always a shipwreck to pass by, a megalodon to defeat, a skeleton ship, a foe's ship, etc. This usually gives you tons of loot, but most PL do it for fun/commendations.
So when a 30min voyage ends lasting 1:30h, people just want to finish their voyage and stop taking care about attacking other people or collecting loot, just grapping what they need (right now: fishes, gems and strongold items).
Give us cosmetic to spend our money, and the seas will be loaded again.
