Maelstrom

Currently in SoT we have three environmental “events” if you will that can hinder your sailing. The storm, the fog, and the volcanoes. What if the next one was a maelstrom?! Sailing around and suddenly the sky above you darkened similar to the sea darkening with the Kraken. And with this the sea around you starts to spin and then opens. Forcing you to work to sail out of it. Maybe even pulling up loot from the depths so if you stay in it you can work with your crew to get rewards while risking your ship getting pulled to a watery grave!
