New Action: Swab the deck

    How to perform action.

    • Right click when holding a bucket of water on a ship, will make your character go on the floor and scrub it.
    • The water in the bucket can be used indefinitely.
      Ways that ship will get dirty.
    • Walking.
    • Vomiting.
    • Fishing.
    • Cooking.
    • Damage.
    • Ink.
      Reasons to keep ship clean.
    • When a ship is too dirty, it will get infested with rats.
    • Rats will eat your food supply.
    • Rats will chew up your wood planks.
      Other additions.
    • When it rains, the ship will get clean.
    • Water barrels, which require to be refilled with fresh water from islands or the tavern.

    @trenix90 im not sure about the sink part as that could be i fairly big advatage for cargo runs and what not but i agree with everything else

    Did they even have working sinks on ships during the golden age of piracy?

    Yeah, water should be limited.

    Heh, weird that I didn't think of that. I switched sinks to be water barrels instead.

    @trenix90 i could get onboard with water barrels as long as you need to fill them, would be nice to be able to find them and add to you inventory aswell maybe limit it up to 5 or something each one holds 5 buckets of water

    I like the cleaning the deck- but i dont think you should have to refil a water barrel.

    Also just make the deck slippy if its dirty, like being drunk and sliding from side to side or not where you want to go making it harder to run an efficient ship withiut a few deck-scrub bers (the word is banned).

    The terminology would be "Swab the deck" but yeah could add an element of realism to the game.

    Imagine the deck slick with Kraken ink after the encounter? It's probably hard to get out.

    Awesome ideas, I'll add them to the list and also renamed the action.

    Great idea, rare need to add this.. Always felt there should be more to do on long journeys with a full crew, other than moving the sails, steering and keeping lookout. Maybe add an option to clean out the cannons too, to avoid the chance of them jamming while firing

    That would actually be pretty cool. Maybe the more you use the cannons, the more likely they will jam. To prevent jams, you would have to clean them.

    This would be a interesting concept to add sustainability to the ship and cannon lol I could imagine firing a cannon and the cannon ball just rolling out and blooping into the water because the cannon was dirty lol

    Imagine the deck will get wet and slippery after a sertain time sailing. The longer you sail the more slippery it gets. When you don't swap the deck it might even come to a point that you literally 'walk' on ice.
    When I think about it, it kinda makes sence and provides for hillarious moments. It could also be used as a tactic in ship combat. I think it perfectly fits in the style of SOT.
