More RNG to Guns please!!!

  • No joke - i just remembered a scene from a pirate movie when the pirate want to shoot another and the gun just didnt work.
    klick nothing.
Those front end loaders/ flintlocks tend to just not to work.
And of course therefore Pirates often wore 2 Pistols or even more.
It shouldn't happen that often, but it should be possible to happen like and accident and hopefully make you laugh in that situation XD.
Like 0.001% chance or something like this.
Know it can allways happen and sometimes it safes the noobs life and make you epic priate legend look like a fool ^^
Thats about the fun playing games and not taking it too serious ;)

Well you know, if you start taking it too serious and forget about the fun while playing a game even if you loose,
either the game is bad or you took it all too serious.

I just imagine i want to shoot and that f.... damn thing does nothing but klick XD

  • So how would you balance that with a sword? The sword would have to have a chance of failure, too. In the end, gamers want their guns to work when they’re supposed to work, realism be d@mned.

  • *The footage of a double-gunner who is hipfiring EoR after the patch.

it's not about relism, i agree that too much realism can destroy fun playing a game, but it's about the more fun aspect of the competition and to make it a more tactical decision if you want to shoot an opponent, no matter if PvE or PvP. If you want to make it 100% sure you can deal damage use the cutlass.

But maybe add a chance to fumble an attack with the cutlass and let it fall down and auto pick it up again and make it the same time to reload the flintlock.

  • We just finally got a somewhat nerfed gun fight system so maybe hold off on that. Plus that shot could determine a PvP encounter better determined by actual skill.

  • "Pioneer"

  • there should be a much more random element to gunplay for sure. if someone is going to shun the cutlass and throw in with double guns then they have to accept the risks. guns of that time were prone to miss fire and not too accurate. if they reflected that the whole double gun issue would become an afterthought.
"arrr, i'll take my trusty cutlass in a scrap. that rusty flintlock of yours is the fiat of guns. arrr"

  • @bugaboo-bill I've had that happen in game already with the blunder but I love the idea it's also called a flash in the pan

  • I will pass on this, its just doesn't translate well for games. When people shoot a gun in a game, they expect it to fire. RNG and guns is a pair the majority don't want.
