I'm German, but I play most games in their original languages.
For Sea of Thieves there are a ton of reasons to play it in English:
- Voice overs are English anyway
- It's an online game where I have to communicate in English with most other players
- There are a lot of songs, poems and wordplays in the game that just work better in their original language
- It just feels more piratey than German. I'm sorry, Störtebeker...
Here's the thing: I cannot change the game language unless I change my Windows 10 system region + language and reboot.
Neither ingame or in the Microsoft Store is there an option. The SoT Support just confirmed that. Arrr you kidding me?
Almost any other game out there let's me choose the language I want. Steam, Origin and Uplay also have that option. This is a 70€ online game that takes 40 GB of disk space we're talking about!
PLEASE, Rare. Please add a language selection option in-game.
