My crew and I have bested many pirates out on the sea of thieves. However, despite the 'vast' wealth we obtain from defeating another crew, the one treasure we really want is their ship. I am suggesting a commandeering mechanic, where a crew that can consistently defeat another crew can eventually take over their ship. This could be accomplished by killing the other crew a certain number of times, by the other crew 'scuttling' their ship while a majority of another crew is on board, or perhaps by having the enemy raising their flag in a king of the hill style. The crew could then denote a member of their ship to captain the captured ship and basically start a new crew on that server. Former crew members of the captured vessel could pledge their alliance to the new captain and stay as crew on that ship. Lots of potential, what does everyone think?

Lol, what a horrible idea. Let me get this straight your saying that when a crew attacks another crew and keeps on attacking them again(grieving) and again, you think you should be able to take over their boat(again more grieving) bhahaha. This is the funniest post I have seen in a while. I have to give you credit though because some people on here come up with some wild ideas. Your idea actually reminds me a little of what I’ve been encountering here lately, which is my wife and I might be playing and we actually have ships approach us and ask if we’re getting off and if so could they have our ship. There was a brig that did this the other day and I understand why they’re asking it, unfortunately it hasn’t ended well each time(I was in a brig and a galley of all pirate legends wanted our ship and we said no, they proceeded to attack us and follow us around), your idea kind of finds a way to incorporate this. I mean why don’t you just go ahead and say it.
