My server just randomly shut down. Anyone else having this problem? I'm actually really kinda angry because I was in the middle of an Athena Voyage.

Sorry to hear this is happening to you, this is not intended and servers will only shut down when it is absolutely required to do so.

Hey @prodigy-tdg sorry to hear that this happened to you. @PersonalC0ffee and @Galactic-Geek are correct. A server will not voluntarily shut down, outside of our maitenance window of course, and if players are on a server that is forced to shut down it will attempt to migrate you to a new server, if possible. Also, low server occupancy isn't one of the reasons why a server would forcibly shut down.
Sounds like you had a bout of bad luck :( Like @Galactic-Geek said, I turn in my loot often in case a fluke like this happens or I run into another greedy blood-thirsty crew.
I've had this happen a few times this week, got a 10 mins shut down and the other one was a dc but was the whole crew both in an Athena. I was talking with the crew after both and think someway to save your Athena for about 15 mins if you dc would be great. Start back up where you left off but after 15mins you cant start it again and it is lost. That way everyone is not running half a Athena a night.
