Our 10 hour journey is a tale to tell! We stocked up and headed out to go west to prettier waters. We passed by Dagger Tooth which had a galleon docked. We sped pass hoping to get by before they noticed us. No such luck! The chase was on. We sailed into the wind and they were far behind. What’s that?! 2 galleons at Sanctuary Outpost? We head to them. On the way there one galleon sinks the other. We arrive just in time to introduce the galleons. They engage and we leave and head back east. I watch the battle from my spyglass and see another galleon with lights on and full billow headed to them. It was the sunken galleon. Fun! They all 3 battle it out. 1 sunk and the other fled while the other galleon gave chase.
We went on our merry way. Stopped at Dagger Tooth and started a gold hoarders voyage. Then a raid popped at Crow’s Nest so we continued our voyage because we saw 2 galleons and a sloop headed to the raid. The voyage was a really good one. It took us over an hour to finish it. It was 8 maps total. Plus we got a few message in a bottles. From them we got 3 Thousand Grog Chests, 8 captain chests! Unheard of for us! We also hit some shipwrecks.
We wandered around as message in a bottles kept us busy. 3 hours later a raid pops. We had not seen anyone for the whole 3 hours. Then as we were making our way to the raid we see 3 sloops! We see one sloop headed towards the raid which was at Crow’s Nest again. So we decide not to do the raid, but head that way anyways for shipwrecks. We see a galleon head to the raid and the sloop. From my spyglass I see another sloop already at the raid. The galleon sinks the other sloop and docks at the raid. The other sloop was still there. We go to Plunder Outpost to turn in loot. We head towards Galleon’s Grave to find more shipwrecks, then I notice just the galleon there. We stay in the northeast doing another voyage.
2 hours later the raid was still up. Huh?! We turn in loot and head back to the raid. No one there! Huh?! So we go to it. My partner goes ashore and he says “I just seen someone who wasn’t a skellie!” He couldn’t find him. I stood guard on the sloop. Still couldn’t find the guy. So we started working on the raid. The guy then kegs our sloop dying in the process. I repair the 2 holes.
I’m firing cannons at the skellies then I realize skellies in a pill box is firing to the west. It was the guy coming back. He fires at us as the skellies fire on him. His sloop sinks and he swims to our sloop and my partner kills him on the ladder. We continue with the raid. Then off in the distance a sloop with all lights on heads for us. It’s the same guy. While we are waiting on him the skellies get in the pill box and start firing on us. So we lower our sail to move. The sloop rams us. Even more holes. We sailed around the fort like 3 times firing cannons and fixing holes and finally he sinks again.
We work on the raid and in the distance I see a sloop heading our way. Yep, same guy. I decide to turn facing our cannons at him and fire when he gets in range. He fires a couple of times and his sloop just sails pass and then sinks. He didn’t fool me! I go to look at the ladders and I didn’t see him. I kept going from one ladder to the other then finally he was at the top of the ladder and he jumped up and hit me with his sword and it knocked me off the sloop. My partner swam under the sloop to find him. I get back on the sloop and go down in our hull there he was. I kill him.
Then the skellies start firing cannons at us again. And I’m repairing while my partner goes to the pill box to kill the skelly. I realize the guy took all of our planks! I had repaired 3 holes and we still had one which was at the back. I just bailed water every few minutes in between waves.
We finally get the captain and finish. My partner says “Make sure he’s not coming back.” I reply “I haven’t seen him.” Then I hear the vault open. As I’m looking around I see a galleon rounding the corner of the fort! OH NO!! I yell “GALLEON!! Right there! They are firing on us!” My partner grabs the stronghold skull and runs to our sloop he gets on the ladder and I drop sail. At this point we have 3 holes and NO planks. The galleon gives chase. My partner bails all the way to Ancient Spire. We get there jump off and let our sloop go. We turn in the skull. We watch the galleon chase our empty sloop and anchor by where it sunk. Then a sloop comes at them and they give chase on the sloop. They go way south.
I’m watching it from my spyglass. My partner goes to the mermaid to get our sloop so we can go back to the fort to get our loot. We had to scuttle twice before it put him at an island close enough, Snake Island. I watch them and another sloop joins in. Then my partner says he’s almost to the fort and I spawn in. We get our stronghold chest, 3 exquisite spices, 2 harmful skulls, and leave the rest. As one of the sloops was headed to the fort. We left 3 rare teas and 2 disgrace skulls and gunpowder barrels. We head to Plunder Outpost. We arrive and there was a sloop docked. We start to cut south to come up the other side, but the sloop dropped sail and left. We turned in all of the loot.
We decided to go back to the fort to see if we could get the rest. The galleon was there. So we went to fire on them. Then a sloop came over and the galleon left. The sloop was none other than the guy from earlier. This time he had a partner. We fired on him and let him chase us. Then we left the game mid chase. Ha!
