New Types of NPC Enemies {Enemy Pack}

  • Some suggestions for new enemies to add to the islands instead of random skelly's and spitting snakes being the only NPC attackers. There's tons of ideas, here's a few from the top of my head.

    [Sirens]: Fallen off the ship in the sea, you immediately start searching for mermaids. Two appear in the distance and call to you. One is friendly, and the other attacks. Pick the right one, simple as that.

    [Giant Cat]: Pumas, Panthers, Cougars, just some big cat that spawns on bigger islands. Have it be a fast moving mob that hits hard.

    [Fishmen]: Mobs that roam the seas that flop onto your deck and fight the crew while trying to steal loot and/or sink your ship.

    [Harpy]: This bird-type mob will scratch at you and call in reinforcements. They can pick you up and toss you off cliffs if you don't hit them off fast enough. They can hang out at islands or fly over the seas traveling in groups attacking passing ships.

    [Bomb-Skellies]: Adding some much needed threat from the Skellies, have these ones run up to your ship with Powder Kegs in their hands while screaming.

    [Stone Golem]: From ancient civilizations, they guard certain chests/treasure. Slow moving, hits very hard. If you get too far, they start throwing rocks.

    [Merchant Ships]: NPC ships that carry loot. Be a fun distraction and would entice other ships to battle each other for the giant loot boat.

    [Navy]: Heavily armed ship[s] that attack players on sight. Sometimes coasts with Merchant Ships. Have them be a big enough threat/danger for players to weigh-in whether to attack them or not. Can sometimes be parked at Outposts and may make Pirates reconsider cashing their loot in at another Outpost. It'd be neat to have a traveling threat like that.

    The foundation for this game is laid out. Now just have to fill it's world with all sorts of stuff to interact/battle with. Any other ideas, feel free to add them!

    Semi-Cool (I don't like the anchored at port part) > [Navy]: Heavily armed ship[s] that attack players on sight. Sometimes coasts with Merchant Ships.
