I get Cyan beard error when roommate turns off his xbox

Whenever my roommate turns off his xbox I get a cyan beard error and get disconnected from sot, it doesn’t seem to effect my internet connection or any other games just sot. I am on WiFi because I play in my room and the router is downstairs, I am aware hard wire is optimal but running a wire from upstairs to the living room isn’t really practical and I bought a very expensive router that works well. Anyone have any fixes for this problem/encounters with it?)
