I was curious if anyone thought the server instability contributed to relatively sparsely populated servers? Yesterday I played a good 11-12 hours and honestly only encountered a handful of ships? I am wondering if there is a finite number on the servers or if they are having issues evenly populating them?
@xgowx-deadaim I’ve read that the most ships in one game is six total. I haven’t bothered to confirm that but I seem to always cross paths with others about three or four times an hour.
Just one of those things. Population isn't an issue. They are struggling with server space. If you read the update on the main page. Even achievements have been turned off till next week to allow freer traffic.
It just happens that way sometimes. It depends where on the map everyone is exploring it sailing. It's a dynamic large map. So you can't predict where people will be.

There were a total of 5 at a skull fort including my sloop today. If that is true, that left 1 ship to the other 95% of the map.
