"Best" encounter so far was Kraken and Meg at the same time - Meg and Ghost ships happen too. Megs are anyway the most annoying encounters especially during a pvp fight. Rare needs to rethink those pve spawns.

Individually those PvE encounters are very easy (at least when you're on a vessel compatible with your crew size), having more than one at the same time, increases the risk somewhat.
Would hate to not have the Shrouded Ghost spawn just because there is a Kraken or a skloop nearby.
Personally, those are the best times for my crew and me, because it increases the challenge, gives us more experience, and we become better/more experienced players because of it.
A friend and I were on a sloop hopping servers looking for something interesting. We rise up on this server, and see a FotD. We turn and head towards it, but right away we see another sloop off our port, also heading to it. They see us, and suddenly, we get krakened. The other sloop takes advantage of our plight, and try shooting us with cannons (they keep missing and get frustrated), but they decide to shoot out to us instead. The kraken starts blowing, and we go down below to avoid that mechanic. The player gets the board, but gets taken up by the kraken. He tries boarding again, we kill him, and take out the kraken as well. With no time to catch our breath, we start attacking the other sloop. They're demasted, and can't handle the pressure we're giving, and sink (he had some choice words for us afterwards LOL).
That player tried taking us out with the kraken's help, couldn't do it, and couldn't deal with us sinking him after. I know you think those encounters are "annoying", but I hope one day you can see it from a different perspective, of making you/your crew better players for it.

'Crew and me' is an important distinction.
PvE spawning needs refinement as it makes PvP encounters for solo's an absolute joke.I've attempted to fight a manned Burning Blade and been subjected to an emergent skelly Galleon attack - which was lethal.
Countless times the 'fun police' engage with even a sniff of PvP as Meg's or Skelly ships stack the odds against you.Devs said they had dialled down PvE encounters but it's been broke since Smuggler Skelly ships were introduced imo.
Absolutely. I've dealt with my fair share of those times as well. Sometimes they've worked for me, other times I've had to make adjustments to deal with said encounters. It was annoying doing Molton Sands fortress and having to stop several times to go to the ship because a skeleton gallon a block away aggro'd to me. Been there, done that. I like to think it's made me a better player for it.
