Make Grapple Gun Do Damage Same With Harpoons

  • Doesnt need to to be a lot just like 10 or 20 damage. Because imagine getting impaled it would hurt a bit and your taking the rik of bringing your opponent on to your ship or close to you.

That's on you if you want to snatch an opponent to your ship. The grapple gun is good as it is.

No risk here, your brining a single pirate closer, who just suffered damage, to possibly closer to you and crew which mostly death.
After all, those seconds you been harpooned, you cant get free or do anything. Your a free target....Stunned...

  • The harpoons on the front of the boat and on harpoon rowboats actually do a small amount of damage per hit and are the best DPS in the game (when up close), second only to the throwing knives.

10 damage on the harpoon into 90 damage from the blunderbuss would be insane. Two taps on guns aren’t as crazy because you can throw up their aim with movement and cover. This would effectively make this a free kill by removing their mobility.

But it is also funny you mention this, because you can do this to skeletons, rowboats, and other non-player character entities with a life value; albeit it doesn’t pull them in. It’s still funny to Gatling Gun them down with the harpoon gun on ships though

  • @boneheart1237 yes the 2 tap would be crazy but the opposing Pirate can hit you first after a grapple which could be a blunder of their own while also pushing you outside 90 damage range

  • The balance sake is that you are getting the single most powerful movement option in the game, and with as much damage as some weapons already can do, even a 10 damage chip can change a battle completely. In a game where you do damage in large bursts, a small chip is usually all it takes to finish some one, now pairing that with more mobility than ever is just a problem for balance.

The sword has the second best mobility option in the game, and it is one of the lowest damage and is THE shortest range option, so even the sword has some massive down sides compared to any ranged option, to balance out its mobility.
