I feel like it would bring more pirate aspect to the players that are not experienced in PvP yet and to bring a more pirate to this amazing pirate game and another way to get treasure on the seas.to find ai cargo ships carrying faction specific loot based on their flag/ship set. That are roaming the seas and stopping at outpost and islands and or specific trade routes for each faction and they could also get attacked by skeleton ships. And you can find these cargo ships in all the ship types so it adds a risk plus reward aspect to players (the bigger the boat the more treasure). that’s why I think these cargo ships would add life and more ways to get treasure and experience in naval combat and in theory add more life and more pirate and thieving to this perfectly named sea of thieves.
ROAMING FACTION CARGO SHIPS!!!!
I feel like if they had them in the world without being summoned it would make more players not go for them or leave the loot if it pops up next to them. When I hunt skeleton fleets, I want the loot to be random, I want ashen, I want skulls, etc. If it was likely to be only merchant, or only OoS, or only HC, I wouldn't want the loot.
@potatosord you would know from the banner or ship set so it would more be a bonus objective for more high quality loot and maybe these trade routs or like the smugglers rout has more skeleton ships or something
These ships you want are in the game as player emissary factions. OoS faction will have skulls, Merchy voyages stack merch, etc.... OF course there's PvP along with that though.
Nothing on the seas for this in a PvE aspect. However, if you select a raid mission from a specific faction, you get that factions loot in the raid you selected. Hunter's Call Raid on a Seafort nets you (pun intended) Hunter's Call loot. Good way to get Athena loot if you don't have the time to do a full Athena voyage or Ancients Trial.
My 2 dubs
@trexdog22 That doesn't change the fact that if you don't want to hunt merchant ships, that skeleton ship is still useless to you
Guy just wants some ships on seas that actually got some loot.
I totally agree, players never got loot, and skeletons are a hostile faction while roaming caravan like cargo ship guarded by few sloops or even brig\gally to make it dangerous, sounds bit different and fun, so you can choose to attack or not as they are passive until you hit them.
It can be an event, or out of WE rotation like Siren Song which is more preferred, to give more options at the same time.
For example it spawns at the veil behind Crescent isle, and its target is to reach Morrows Peak outpost, so players are challenged to hunt it down and fight each other for its loot. (dont mention BB, as it got no loot, 5 items aint a thing)
@coopers-rum this is exactly what I’m trying to put out pretty much to the detail thank man
And also potentially more variations of the caravan thing with like multiple defensive ships depending on the crews that have joined the area and just a new way and I’m thinking the best way to get faction specific levels and loot and the factions would be in rotations like reaper, hunters call, gold hoarder….and so on like there would be a set amount of time these caravans would take to get it to their destination I think it would be sick and I feel like it could fit in the lore somehow with flameheart trying to control the routs or somthing to control the company’s who knows rare can have fun with that but yeah you nailed it dude
