New player here just got out my 2nd game of hourglass. I was about to win only for another ship to join the fight. The other player started screaming for them to help and make an alliance. The 2nd ship came at me and gave the guy ample time to repair and they both just started blasting me. I couldn't even believe my eyes when I saw the 2nd ship. I dont think I am going to keep doing hourglass once I get the curse. If I get 2v1 like that again I may just quit. This is ridiculous and I cant believe Rare made this a thing that can happen to you. Shows me they must not play their own game modes. I mean come on, this don't make sense. Just put the two teams on their own server or outter corner of the map that other players can't access. If yall need to hire someone for improvement in this game I am available. This would make the game better and it's an easy fix. I cant understand why in the world it was ever allowed to be this way let alone for all these years.
Hourglass Should Not Allow 3rd Parties
@capnxjack you’re in adventure when you do hourglass so ofc ships can join in on the battle, it’s how Rare designed it. It was smart of the other ship to alliance up and use the other ship against you, maybe you’ll try that out next time. Tools not rules!
Define hourglass for me
Instant PvP searching tool. Is pretty much what it is. You got PvP, so what if another player wants to PvP with you.
How often does third party happen? Not enough but it’s part of the overall open world. What if, you were the ones they helped? Tell me honestly. Would you be here upset because someone helped you win?
Without hourglass. These things happen nonetheless, hourglass is just a side tool to get pvp quicker. Where ever you are ingame.
There's so many contradictions with hourglass. There's matchmaking to try and place you with an equal opponent, but you can dive up with an ancient Meg attacking 1 crew. Or have a 3rd party go after 1 crew.
Pick a side. Matchmade fights with equal crews in a controlled environment or a chaotic on demand fight against all the adventure mode events with a random crew. Pick one. I don't blame people for complaining.

😭
It happens and you should be prepared for it. It's frustrating because you are new and this was going to be one of your first wins. Once you reach 100, you'll find that some of the best fights happen when 3rd parties arrive. Hourglass winds up feeling very rinse-repeat after a while, so it can be fun to have spicy things happen - even if you don't always come out on the right end. You have a long journey to 100 that is going to be full of fun and frustration (cheaters are the worst!). Locking hourglass behind an instance where the fights are always the same is what you want today, but it won't be what you want down the road. If you do manage to reach 100, you likely won't quit diving. It's one of the most exciting things you can do in SoT and you will have additional cosmetics to unlock =)
